Meigs won, 71-54. Led 34-31 at halftime.

I don't think anyone saw this coming. As it stands, I think SHS is not fulfilling it's expectations.

Meigs is going to cause lots of problems to opponents this year. The MHS frosh and JVs will also win lots of games.

Had to know it would be tough to win at Meigs. They always get fired up to beat Southern. They shouldn't have lost as bad as they did, but the loss isn't totally surprising. Southern has only played six games, don't count them out. Look for them to get better.

I have to disagree on Southern getting better. Their players put forth very little effort and five of the six games they have played has been against very weak teams. I don't think they have played a team with a winning record besides Meigs. Hopefully they will get better but to do so their effort is going to have to improve.

Meigs with Kalieb Sheets and Damon Jones can be very dangerous combination. The duo play well off each other.

Southern boys are lazy, they have height. Thats it. Meigs is not a very good D2 team either. Basketball is very week in Meigs county these days its sad.
