Waverly was up 52-51 late when the wheels fell off. Aaron Heibel on fire for the Tigers pouring in 30 points. 20 turnovers by the Tigers lead to easy buckets for the Cavs.

Congrats to Coach Huffer on his 1st win in Cavalier country. I like what i saw tonight. Coach played alot of kids and had the best on the floor when it came down to it. Eddie Wells, Nate Rosenbauer and Tommy Bolte will be on the floor alot with a good mix of players moving in and out in Nolan Taylor, Isiah Johnson, Zehner, other Johnson, Matt Benson and others. They played well as a team being this early, and i watched kids body language and they looked coachable and positive. Reflection of their leader. Should compete well in the SCOL. Go Cavs!

Wow that bolte kid for the cavs can jump. At 6'1 he put on a dunking show tonight. #23 for waverly has a very good shot, but I've never seen someone flop as much as him. I didn't realize how very young the cavs were. Future looks good. Would love to see a true center with size with this group

Tommy Bolte could end up being a special player for the Cavs. As bronc said, he can jump out of the gym and also has an outstanding floor game. Really fun kid to watch.

I must've been watching another game the Cavs were much better than Waverly...problem was when you don't play the right kids you keep teams in the game. Should not have played as many kids as he did...and the starting line up was questionable...the Cavs lack size, but yet number 35 and I believe 34 are the biggest kids and best rebounders yet they play very little? Taylor looked good at times and so did Bolte. The thing I will say was the defense by almost everyone on the Cavs was very good. We will see how the season plays out.

Playing 11 and getting a win is a big step in the right direction. This was basically their 2nd scrimmage of the season. Let everyone work into their roll and accept them and things should be good. Every team the Cavs play may need different personal to get the job done.

The final score was definitely not indicative of how competitive this game was for the most part. Waverly lead at half and had a small lead well into the second half. Lack of depth probably hurt the Tigers.

Given the "injury report", Waverly should feel optimistic about the season. If we can get Eric back we will be very competitive in league play.

Good luck to Chillicothe the rest of the way!

Waverly will only get better and hopefull the injury report is not bad. The Tigers entered the game without their starter in the post and Senior leader Eric Rinehart. Also unavailable was post player Mason Chapman who was injured in the JV game. He would have seen several minutes of action. Aaron Heibel and Jake Henderson were both injured toward the end of the game. Not sure but it appeared the Tigers ran out gas after leading 52-51. Rotating 11 vs Waverly 7 is a huge difference.
Tigers just need to keep working hard, get guys healthy (get Rinehart back) and they should win some games.
