Will Ironton have enough to make another tournament run this year?
Doesn't look like they have much size on their roster, but they play a darn tough schedule.

WOW, no Seniors on the Team this year.

This should be an interesting year with that schedule, there's some pretty good players on that Roster. The Tigers rarely have anyone over 6'4 on the Team.

No Problem ohbuckeye2..there is one Senior on the team though Nate Garrad is a Senior..We will have to fix that on the roster..thanks for pointing that out to us...They will be very young but I think they will be very competitive and get better every game this year.

they poured it on tonight in the 2nd half think the final was 53-35 something like that !! a lot of subs in and out so they look to have depth!!! I couldn't get a good read on them if good or st joe is bad or combination of both!!

IMO no one will blow them out they will be in many games

The game I was at St.Joe led at one time 26-16, so the Flyers must not be that bad but thanks for the slam.

Relax .... how is that a slam? CG was simply stating that he/she couldn't get a real good read on Ironton and wasn't sure if they were that good, or their opponent wasn't so good. It was never said that StJ was horrible or the worst team ever. If you win by 18, it's a fair question.

Simple, had he paid attention he would saw that varsity vs varsity ISJ played the Tigers even. The game got out of hand in the 4th qtr when they started subbing. I think any small school that plays a well coach team like IHS that close deserves a little credit and he gave none.

St. Joe has some nice shooters. I think they shot something like 80% the first half! Halftime score was 28-26 St. Joe. Ironton subbed in constantly trying to give everybody some experience. I think both teams will be competitive and win some games this year.

I witnessed a game that was dead even for three quarters (as indicated by the play and the score). The St. Joe coach elected to bench four of his starters in the 4th quarter to let some freshmen get some playing time. Ironton's coached elected to play his 1st string and press. He was screaming at his players like he was coaching in the Final Four up in Columbus (oops!).

Ironton has some nice players and will win some games (I hope so), but let's give the St. Joe kids a little credit. Anyone who attended that game knows that the Flyers were not "bad" and that the 4th quarter "pouring it on" was not indicative of the game.

You make it sound like both teams played their starters the whole game until St. Joe subbed at the end and Ironton kept their starters in. That was not the case at all. Ironton rarely played all 5 starters together the whole game! Several times I looked over and saw 3 to 4 starters on the bench. I give the first half to the Flyers. They shot the lights out but to say that both teams had their starters in and played evenly is wrong.

I agree that both coaches were working on their teams and that winning the game was not necessarily the ultimate goal. However, I hate to see the lack of respect shown to St. Joe by referring to them as "bad". That was definitely not the case.

I agree. The Flyers do have some nice players and I believe they will win many games. Good Luck Flyers.
