Alright Cavs fans its almost that time again for another basketball season.Hopefully with a new coach the team can start fresh and have a better year.Whats the outlook on the upcoming team, season schedule, players to watch for, etc. Hopefully the Cavs can get the program to what it used to be and this year would be a good year to get it going in the right direction for the future.

It's going to be much more difficult to have tournament success, but I believe this years team will have a much better overall year than last season. The SCOL is winnable for the Cavs, but MT and Massie will be the biggest hurdles in basketball as well. WCH will be solid, but their big advantage over teams is their athleticism at all 5 positions and the Cavs exposed that big time in their meetings last year.
I look for the Cavs to win anywhere between 13-15 games and be in the top 2 of the SCOL.

Talked to some people that are close with the program and got the feeling they are a little excited with what they have this year. Look for the starting lineup to be something like 1.Bolte 2.Rosenbauer 3.Wells/Benson 4.Taylor 5.Johnson. Not the tallest lineup but should be pretty athletic with good scoring options. Look for this Cavs team to compete for a conference title.

Looking forward to Saturday's scrimmage vs. Coach Lisath and his Dayton Northridge Polar Bears. I'm told they were missing some starters during the Unioto/Portsmouth scrimmage, but still looked pretty good. Should be a good test for my Cavs!

Cavs drop a close one to Washington C.H. by two points with a chance to tie or win it in last few seconds. I think we are 6-6 now but i feel they are making strides in the right direction. Several losses are by 2 points, so they are in every game. Keep working hard in practice, put it to use in games and grow. Not much height as tallest kid is 6'2" Nolan Taylor. We were spoiled with 6'6" Chambers, 6'6" Ragland, 6'8" London, 6'5" Smith, 6'4" Dawes over the last few seasons. Keep an eye on this 8th grade class. Go Cavs!

Big game for the Cavs tonight. We need to win a few down the stretch.
