11th annual "Bud Kilmer 3 on 3"

As most of you know Whiteoak High School is the annual host to the "Bud Kilmer 3 on 3". This upcoming summer with be the 11th annual "Bud Kilmer 3 on 3". 10 years ago Brandon Walker, a Whiteoak High School Alumni and the current head girls varsity coach at Symmes Valley started a 3 on 3 League to raise some money for the Whiteoak Girls Basketball Program where he coached the JV team. Over the years it has grown into one of the premier competitive men's leagues in Southern Ohio. Currently the tournament is ran by the Whiteoak High School Boys Basketball Program. The tournament has been a consistent success since it began but over the last couple years, we have saw the number of high school students participating decrease. While we will still continue our adult division, but this year we would like to offer a HIGH SCHOOL division. We feel this is a great opportunity for area high school players to compete against each other and also get a chance to develop continuity playing with teammates. We will also host a girls division if we receive enough interest. High school teams may be comprised of players who all come from the same school or they can mix in with other High School players in the area. As I listed below, there is no violation for one team to be made up of members entirely from the same school.

According to the OHSAA regulations:
4.4) Participation in “3 on 3” tournaments (such as but not limited to “Gus Macker” tournaments)

is not a violation of OHSAA non-interscholastic Team Sports Regulation

6.5 for student-athletes.


Some Details on the tournament include:
Teams may have 5 members
Team Captains must list all 5 potential players the 1st night
Players must be going into the 9th grade to participate
Cost- $20 for High School Division
$25 for Adult Division

When: Last 3 Sunday Evenings in July= July 14, 21, 28

Time: July 14- 5pm(sign-up) July 21,28- 6pm
