Worried for my Shermans. Streaks speed at preview was impressive. After reading pfloyds summary of Piketon, I think it will come down to the wire. "The Oven" will be preheating all week I'm sure. Hill will be the X factor I think. Piketon lacks size but they held Swingle to 10 points.

Hopefully it will be as good as it was last year when the Tanks traveled down to "The Oven". 57 game in conference win streak is really something else. Excited to see what a RED HOT Piketon team will bring to the hardwood. I know both Coach Hoops and Coach Legg will keep their kids motivated throughout the week. This one could really be a toss up. But I would really like to see Perdue light up the Tanks early in the season, and then run with momentum in the Holiday Classic.

I think it will be Waverly Piketon in the finals of the Holiday Classic. It will be a battle but I believe Waverly matches up extremely welll with Piketon and is somewhere around 10 points better! Will be a great game and a great atmosphere!

Several games to play before the Classic and I will be looking for marked improvement out of our Tigers. Shooting has to improve, missing 18 of 30 FT’s in a game will not win many games. Good thing it was against S.W.
Looking forward to this game between Piketon and Unioto. This will tell us a lot about the Redstreaks. Tanner Perdue could be the difference in this one.

Have a lot of respect for Coach Hoops and Coach Legg along with their basketball programs. Both coaching staffs will have the kids motivated and ready to play come Friday night. Seen the Redstreaks late in the preseason and believe the Streaks have what it takes to beat a good Unioto team. Piketon will play with a chip on their shoulder. I’m taking the Streaks by 5

I like Piketon in this matchup as well! Perdue is a nightmare to guard. Will be interesting to see if swackhammer can match his output!

Unioto by 10. Both teams like to go. Swackhammer and Perdue will be fun. Beyond that Kennedy big advantage, Fisher, Hill matchup problems for piketon. Depth goes to piketon. Only way I see them winning is foul trouble for Unioto. Good luck to both teams.

This will be an interesting game. Both teams will want to run and both teams will pressure the ball defensively. 1-5 you have to give the advantage to Unioto but I don't think the talent disparity is as lopsided as people think.

You have to think the referee's will play a part. (its high school basketball).

These are 2 of the better defenses in the league so I think the game will be played in the 40's

The best player in the league wins this game. So.lets see who can step up Swack or Perdue? Im taking Piketon its hard to win nearly 60 in a row in the SVC its bound to stop and TP bakes Unioto crispy brown and leads the streaks to the top of the SVC.

I know both games was tight last year
Pretty sure Piketin only had trouble with the bigs inside. Swack and Kennedy held in check for the most part. I'm gonna take Piketon in another tight one!! I think the addition of Purdue gets them over the top this year.

If Piketon can control Hill inside and Kennedy on the outside I think the Streaks are in good shape, the Streaks definitely have have momentum going into Friday with the 4-0 start and a big win over PV. Not going to be an easy task for the Streaks but they’ll get the win at home

But let me be clear. This league is Unioto's to lose until they get knocked off.59 straight? Yea, Ill take Unioto to win the league lol. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year they lose a game though. I think this is the most beatable team they have had in the last 5 years.

This game has always been an interesting matchup until recent Unioto dominance in the SVC. I would venture to say Piketon ends the madness in the oven in a close one. Anyone know what the series is in the last 15-20 years?
