Eastern will have as good of a starting 5 as anyone around. Size, speed, and shooting are all included in these 5. One question mark may be physicality and accepting roles. Every great team has to have one person who will play physical, rebound, play defense, not turn the ball over and not worry about points they score. Not everyone is going to score 20+ per night. I feel depth will be an area of concern if we have an injury or foul trouble . Season prediction 18+ wins!

Great first half of the season for the Eagles, after a setback in the season opening loss to Oak Hill, Eastern has reeled off 9 straight wins and captured there second consecutive Holiday classic title, Coach Barricks senior laden team led by Miller, Leist and Weaver lead a underrated top half(imo)of SOC1 by a game over Western (7-2) a very good NB team. A long way to go and tough games ahead but Easterns first half of season has lots of optimism in Beaver.

The Eagles have definitely had a great first half of the season. I like the fact that they will be hosting Africentric and challenging themselves and getting exposed to some tougher competition. That comment is not intended to be disrespectful to the opponents they have already faced either, but there is normally a huge difference in overall team speed and depth when you start playing the all star teams of the city schools. This kind of game will allow them to see where they are and what they need to work on or adjust.
The Eagles have a a great season going and hopfeully they continue to work hard and improve on the little things. They need to be peaking right at the end entering the one and done portion of the season.
