Saturday 8:30 at Waverly... thoughts?

Meigs is pretty good from what I hear and they gave Burg a scare at last years sectional final. Last years game Burg couldn't make a shot they were off in every aspect of the game except for defense. But this year I do believe that Burg has more shooters and Miller is playing his best ball of the year right now he is fun to watch. I do think that Meigs has an excellent coach who will have his squad and a game plan ready to try and get past Burg. IMO Burg is just playing too good right now so I'll go with DA BURG 57 to 50 in a hard fought game

They have more "basketball players"

I think it'll be a hard fought game. Meigs will be prepared and well coached, plus burg will be looking ahead.

I don’t think Burg will be looking ahead of this game especially with how close they played each other last year. Close for a half but I feel The Pirates will pull away in the third.

Meigs has two players that can cause Burg some problems, but it's upto their role players if they want to pull off this upset. End of the day I just can't see Burg losing this game unless Baer drops 30.

Meigs has two scorers who are a timed bomb waiting to go off. Burg needs to be focused on defense like they were at Waverly. Robertson may have had 25 but they didn't shred Burg as easily as they did the first time. Baer is comparable to Robertson in terms of scoring ability. Stop him, you win.

Baer a lot more length with the same range. He hit a couple in the face of our 6’2 top notch defender when they faced us, Trey couldn’t have got the same shot off.

I'm not too fond of Meigs team, are they about the same starting five as last year? I'll change my score to 43-39

Bartrum is no longer there and he was solid in that game. Cleland got hurt and wasn’t in much....Cleland is tough, Baer can score. I just think they’ll try the same thing again this year.

Burg by 10+. Too much for the Meigs Marauders. JJ Truitt with a big game here, controlling the tempo. Meigs will need Cleland to suit up in a football jersey if they think they have any chance to win.

Meigs will be playing with nothing to lose and with a chip on their shoulder, because nobody thinks they can win. Burg cannot afford to get down by double digits (12-0) again, they are solid at a number of positions, but they don't have the D-one player to bail them out this year. If Burg plays their game, they win.
