Why did they move up? They are a tiny school. Tom Barrick trying to save the conference for Wheelersburg

Barrick went to Kentucky, coach at Russell I think.

Pretty sure Eastern is bigger than Valley and South Webster. If they are not bigger, they are really close to the same size. I think Western might be bigger than South Webster and Valley, not 100% sure

Who knows? EP kids are resilient and gritty. Their administration is basketball savvy and on their 1000 point banners. EP has a solid group of freshman and I imagine in 2 years they may not be great in big SOC but might have good tourney success similar to South Webster many years. Playing those teams helps those small guys come tourney time.

Jeeps gotta watch out for the letdown after solid road win over Minford. Minford beat Eastern pretty handily, so on paper, Jeeps should be favored. But Eastern always a tough place to play, so Jeeps better be ready to play.

As for Eastern's move to SOC II, agreed on ironman92's point. Conference championships going forward are going to be hard to come by, but they will be more than prepared for D4 tourney playing the bigger schools. I'd rather have the sectional/district championship banners hanging in my gym than conference championships banners, but that's just my opinion.*

Jeeps are playing good basketball right now, moving the ball and being unselfish. Getting after it defensively. That's the recipe for a successful team.

At Eastern Pike is always a fairly difficult place to play for some reason. Nonetheless, I still think the Jeeps win by 10+.

Eastern is off to a 0-3 start, losing to Minford 75-52, to North Adams 60-34 and Northwest 50-47.

Eastern moved up to SOCII when Ironton St.Joe joined the conference in SOC1.
