It was free through apex gaming online in Caldwell. This was the first time I got to see a game in person. Warren jumped out 11-2, Caldwell called a timeout and proceeded to rattle off a 13-2 run of their own. A buzzer beating 3 had the Redskins in front 19-15 after one. Caldwell extended the lead to 9 mid second quarter. Warren could not guard either Lori or Kowalsky man to man. A mid quarter change to a 1-2-2 allowed Warren to go on a run, tied at 36 Caldwell appeared to have a 3 point play opportunity but the Dudley boy had a euro step called a travel, Warren scored ahead of the quarter and took a 39-36 lead to the lockers.

Dennis hit two threes out of the half. Caldwell called another timeout and was able to tie it up again late third. The Warren coach started working the officials pretty hard and immediately the whistles got swallowed. Warren extended to a 9 point lead early in the 4th, Caldwell sophomore star Bede Lori was whistled for two awful offensive fouls, the last fouling him out with 5 minutes remaining. With no one left to handle the pressure Warren ran it out to the 88-66 final in a game much closer than the final.

My assessment of Warren, they’re a fantastic team with size, depth and an excellent pg. Caldwell is solid but a year away. Warren’s depth was the difference, simply the difference between a d2 and a d4 school.
