I am one of the ones surprised by Peebles performance so far. Yes, closures, quarantines, time off can make it difficult. The thing is that isn't the issue i am seeing. I have commented previously that with the Indians GREAT size for a DIV team, there should be an air of dominance. There is a lack of team identity/chemistry. While watching a streaming game, I saw disagreements, and key players on the bench for disrespect toward Coach Arey. He will get them on the same page and winning. It just might take a bit more time than I thought.

Peebles has a TON of pride in there basketball program and no way will the slump continue.

I hear from Peebles people that Peebles just isn’t very good this year. Arey has left his mark and “Peebles” in basketball is always considered a legitimate team and program.

Bad start...I assume they’ll be a solid team by season’s end but the Paint Valley loss was a bad one, but big wins could still be in the future.

From what I have seen the outside game isn't working. That has been a Peebles go to the last several years. Time to pound it inside to the bigs. McCoy was out at Paint Valley. Wesley touched the ball 3 or 4 times inside, a couple of those rebounds. With the height this year working the ball to the bigs inside would create scoring and then also open up some clean looks for Mills and Burba. I have watched Peebles basketball for many years, we have had some great shooters and big men. This is a year where the big guys have to be utilized and not just used for playing a role.

Guard play is an achilles heal this year,I'm afraid. The Willoby kid didn't dress last game. Not sure if he's sick or not. McCoy didn't get cleared in time for Tuesdays game and Myers had grade problems from what I heard. If coach can get some Guard play they will be Ok. If not they might not get .500 season.

Amazing how a practice and live games get the legs back. Peebles over Ripley 64-54. Peebles had a couple of 20 pt leads in this one. Coach played every player thru out the night. Coaching is making a difference. Completely different team. Hardly any turnovers. Valued the ball better and Burba had a monster game.

Peebles is a team who relies on discipline and execution, all these layoffs and uncertainties of 2020-2021 will effect those teams more.

Our higher ups will stop everything if one or two test positive. If one fits it they all go to quarantine in our school. Don't know how it will ever work to play another game.
