Had a D2 topic so figured I would start the D3 convo. Bios are due tonight. How does everyone see this division shaping up?

Based on the disparity, is there any real chance any of the top 8 get upset before the district level? If so, what lower seeded teams could potentially cause the upsets?

Outside of the top 8 I think Minford, possibly Zane Trace, and a healthy Ironton could potentially pull an upset.

I see a 0% chance the top 4 can lose in Sectionals..... those 4 are above and beyond the rest

5-8 has some dangerous teams but if there's upsets it's going to be somewhere losing in this range.

Of the teams I've seen ranked 9th or lower, if I was a higher seeded team I would not want to play Minford. They have quick guards and a big that can shoot. If they are on, they are a problem

North Adams is getting real close to that next level. Since the loss to Jackson at the buzzer they have been rolling. ran Fairfield off the court, some other lesser wins but then played Eastern Brown tight at Eastern...lost by 4.

Adena now quarantined so that won’t help them for their tourney prep.

I still say Meigs will be an ornery matchup early on. Every player is strong and physical except their freshman shooter. Most tournament refs will allow their style.

North Adams is getting real close to that next level. Since the loss to Jackson at the buzzer they have been rolling. Beat South Point by 13, ran Fairfield off the court, some other lesser wins but then played Eastern Brown tight at Eastern...lost by 4.

Adena isn’t quarantined. Their reserve players are because of a Unioto reserve player testing positive

Fairland beating Eastern Brown is the only justification for them being over EB. I know they went to Columbus and lost 2 of their 3 games there, but neither loss is as quality of a loss as Worthington Christian for Adena.

Adena will likely be the 4, but I think they have a great argument for the 2.

I agree. More than likely Wheelersburg #1. Fairland/Eastern #2/#3 and Adena #4. Winner of #1’s bracket plays the Eastern District champion. #2’s bracket plays Central District champion

Fairland is the #1 team in the district and any coach with a brain knows that. Yes Wheelersburg has less losses but look at who Fairland lost to.... they purposely scheduled up (like all great teams should) to get tested.

Burg and Eastern should be 2 and 3 in either order

Adena should be 4... Piketon should be 5...

Then it opens up a bit.
