Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
Hey I was pretty close!
Question….had Logan decided to play someone on the lane while shooting their late free throw with 3 seconds left and force Branson one dribble out of the way and he missed….would Logan be #1 or just #3?

No ... not at this time anyway - even with the "IF" you described ... I'd still have Waverly and Washington CH above them ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
Figured that as I was typing
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
40 and below look good, not easy to sort those
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
Logan plays Washington CH AT Courthouse in late January ... Logan has Warren this Friday night @ Warren after traveling to Parkersburg South Tuesday night ... the Purple should beat Warren as the Warriors have a tough time scoring the ball BUT it's a rivalry game, new gym at Warren - might be closer than I'm thinkin' ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
... the big mover in the 40+ group was Eastern Pike! they'll keep climbing if they keep putting up the W's too - they had wins over Portsmouth West, Oak Hill, Green this past week - went from #60 to #44 with the 3-0 week ...

Also liked that teams you had much higher made their way into that pack….you are so happy to be back out to games that you are becoming less stubborn

Fairfield is a team to watch….crazy tough schedule so far but they are solid. I’m not positive they had everyone game 1. I saw them this summer and hey were tough that day.
@Valley lost big
Neutral court vs Fairland (2 point loss)
@Whiteoak and led comfortably throughout and scored 70
Beat down North Adams holding them to 24 points.
Not a lot of D4 teams can play the fast paced and the physical style, Fairfield is one of those handful of teams.

Westfall will be an interesting team to follow this season. Very guard oriented, which could hurt them in certain matchups, but they have some nice pieces and are well coached.
Good for Chillicothe to get 2 wins this weekend too

I thought we would have moved up but a lot of games to go.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #2
... I had the Peake with a loss to Rock Hill (48-59) and W over a reeling Portsmouth team ?

Pfloyd, I always enjoy reading your rankings and game rundowns during basketball season. It’s the content that keeps me coming back to this site once football ends. With that said, I’m going throw my two cents into the discussion this week because I think you’ve got Marietta a bit low.
We’re only three spots ahead of a Federal Hocking team we handled yesterday, eleven spots behind a Meigs team we beat, and fifteen spots behind a Warren team we very nearly beat. I know it’s a bit trivial as we are sort of a fringe team on this site and won’t be one of the top teams in the elite 8 discussion, but outside of the New Philly blowout, we’ve really played pretty solid basketball. I’ve enjoyed watching this team play early on and hope to see them move up the rankings as the season continues.

Is Valley a IV this year again or did they move up to III?

I believe that everyone is the same as last year, because of all of the changes in last school year making it more difficult to do the counts.
