It's never too early to come out with this, right? It's all in good fun. Lots of good teams in D4 this year so this could change every week rather rapidly.

These are primarily based off of record and strength of schedule. For example Notre Dame is 2-3 but losses are to undefeated Western, 3-1 South Webster, and a solid West Portsmouth team.

Teams trying to work their way up (in no particular order): Clay, New Boston, Green, Manchester, Miller, East, Eastern Meigs, Ironton St. Joe.



I'm sure I'm missing a few games here and there on the record and a few teams could be argued to go up or down 3-4 slots.

Nonetheless it should make for a very competitive Division 4 tournament for SEO.

Peebles win over Fayetteville was impressive, doubt half the teams above Peebles would stand a chance against FV.

Fairfield crazy schedule so far….I think they are a top 5 D4 team but this all plays out

Peebles has Lynchburg Clay away on Friday and Western at home the 23rd. . We will see if Josh has them ready. Nice list. Paint Valley will be very good by first of the year. Grubb and I think the big kid is Estep. They are players.I think they are getting their basketball legs now after a good football season. Time will tell . Peebles other loss was to Ripley who is playing well now. They just beat Eastern Brown . Eastern had Garrett go out early sick during that game,but; a win against Eastern Brown is always a good win. I will be watching this list for sure. I 92 is correct, Fayetteville is 6'7",6'5",6'4"4,6'4" ,guard and Holden is sharpshooting small guard. Very good win for Peebles at Fayetteville.
Peebles may struggle on back to back nights for a while. Their inexperience may show,but; they are really scrappy. No quit in them, just like their coach. Great list!.

The Pfloyd Tour goes to Glouster tomorrow night to get eyes on Coach Howie Caldwell's Trimble Tomcats vs Coach Simms & his Waterford team ... both teams are undefeated ... after tomorrow night I will have seen 9 of your top 10 teams in D4 ... I have Trimble above Valley just taking my rankings and drawing out the D4 teams ... first chance to see Trimble this season and/or Waterford ... always good to say hello to Coach Caldwell - one the best there is in the coaching/teaching business courtside imo ...

Gotcha! Thanks for answering. I would have the same top 4 and that 5th spot is wide open in my opinion. It will be really fun to see how it goes the rest of the year!

I agree with both of you, the #5 spot is definitely wide open and could change drastically throughout the season.

South Webster is 3-1 but now is @ Waverly and @ Minford this week, two very good teams. Losing both could drop them in the rankings but not a substantial amount.

Valley and South Webster will be extremely tested come tournament time as the SOC 2 has an abundance of really solid basketball teams this year.

I am interested in the Waterford/Trimble score tonight... I think Trimble will win by 10 or more but it's somewhat of a rivalry game with TVC implications so it might be closer.

Webster would probably go undefeated in SOC1. Valley too.

I think they both probably would but that's irrelevant. Western is pretty solid though. Notre Dame is no slouch but hasn't played too well thus far this season.

I think if Western was given two cracks at both teams they could definitely win one.

Valley plays Eastern Pike this week.

Western has played eight games so far,they must played Tuesday, Friday and Saturday games, that seems like a lot of games this early

They have played Tuesday, Friday, Saturday every week so far and one week they played Piketon Tuesday, Huntington Tuesday, Green Friday, and PV Saturday. Western's schedule has been okay not great but when you factor in the amount of games they have played already, to me it makes it seem a little bit tougher.

I’m not sold on Western with that 1 point win over Notre Dame.
