Athens (1-5, 0-1 TVC) vs Nelsonville-York (2-3,0-2 TVC) FRIDAY NIGHT

Athens and Nelsonville-York will renew their rivalry on Friday at McAfee Gym.
Athens is coming off a loss to Meigs where it was a competitive game for the first 3 quarters until Meigs went off on a 15-6 run in the 4th quarter to blow it open. Athen held Meigs scoreless for the opening 7 minutes and led in the second half.
Nelsonville-York is coming off a loss to Wellston.
Tickets are $6

Series history that I have from Athens viewpoint is:
Athens vs Nelsonville-York - 54-11 (first meeting 1967-68) (NY last win 1/6/2012 66-64 NY in OT, Athens won 19 straight)
Athens vs Nelsonville - Athens won the series 30-21 (first meeting 1922-23)
(Note: Missing some scores in both series)

Gonna be that guy... Athens player makes the layup instead of trying to be cute and dunk it(proceeds to fail) late in the game Athens may have had the spark to win

I don't know what Athens did more of, turn the ball over (30 times) or flip their long, shaggy hair out of their eyes. Now I see why Howie's rules kinda matter: clean cut, short hair, no questions asked.
