Miami Trace @ Jackson 1/14/22

Post by countywide35 »

FAC play continues on the hill tonight.

Ironmen have found theirselves on the short end of the stick in a few close 1/2/3pnt ball games.

Could really use a W tonight on the home court.

Good Luck !

Safe travels to the MT folk comin 35E

I think this will be a great game! I may try to make it to this one. Jackson doesn't have anyone to guard the 6'8" Guthrie. Their key to winning the game has to be to keep the ball out of his hands in the paint. When he gets the ball on the block its 2 points, and 3 if you foul him because he is an excellent FT shooter. Prater for Jackson will be the best guard on the floor tonight. He should cause a lot of issues for MT, excellent player. If Jackson can limit Guthrie to less than 20pts I think they win at home tonight. I like the 4 other starters for Jackson(Winters, Campbell, Woodard, Blankenship) over Boedecker, Guess, Fliehman, Hunter of MT. I'll take Jackson 53-45 at home tonight. Good luck to both teams!

Jackson has never had anyone to guard Guthrie and to this point have always held him down….if they don’t and get into foul trouble, this could be a L.

I'll take Jackson by 5 pts. I heard 2 out for Jackson, rumor or truth ? Alot depends on the refs tonight. If they let them play Jackson will wear down MT. If tight MT could win.

Campbell is still out sick. Heard Blankenship was cleared by everyone but know he has a foot issue.

Two of our top scorers out on a team that plays 6 players and gets a #7 man in there some.

That leaves Prater, Woodard, Winters, Jarvis, Evans. Evans hasn’t played much this year. I think he’s scored 3 points. The bench players will be a player or two who has barely even had “garbage” minutes (not a term I like but giving you an idea. Any foul trouble or breaks needed by Prater, Winters, Woodard, Jarvis will be pretty big drop offs. If Prater off the floor Blankenship is the guy who plays the guard with the ball….

I see no way possible to wear them down and if much foul trouble this will be a tall task. Not too mention Blankenship was our best player vs MT in first game. He went for 17 points.

A win tonight would be huge and as is, an upset. I do know they’ll fight with all they have and I’ll be there cheering them on.

Good first half….used a lot of energy but avoided foul trouble so far

Need to save this lead for the 4th as the legs will get heavy…so let’s win the 3rd
