Couldn’t agree more.. SOC game but not all teams able to participate. I don’t see an issue in having it one week later when everyone can join.. not sure who was in charge of it but I don’t agree with that decision.smurray wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 12:37 am So they had this game before Waverly was done playing. The Coach of the year, The Player of the Year and none of Waverly’s seniors could play in it.
And from what I’m told, when Waverly was on the floor receiving the SOC CHAMPION trophy not one mention of them playing in the FINAL 4. THATS SAD!
I believe that’s dictated by the OHSAA.transplant wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:55 am And it’s just seniors playing. Not a true “all-star” game.
Ok. Yeah should have at least mentioned it? Who knows.smurray wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 9:56 amI believe that’s dictated by the OHSAA.transplant wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:55 am And it’s just seniors playing. Not a true “all-star” game.
The issue many of us have is the total disrespect the league showed Waverly - it’s not about the “all star game” itself…
OHSAA now allows underclassmen to play in “all star” games.smurray wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 9:56 amI believe that’s dictated by the OHSAA.transplant wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 8:55 am And it’s just seniors playing. Not a true “all-star” game.

Thank you. Not the first time it's happened and won't be the last. The Ghost of Swanker wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 4:21 pm Are we really boohooing about all this right now?

As far as disrespect, maybe Waverly needs to find a new league that would appreciate the value and level of competitiveness they’d bring...also congratulations on a GREAT season by Waverly.

Literally not the point we’re trying to prove here. It’s the principle of it and it should go for any team in this situation. There shouldn’t be an issue at all with waiting 1 more week to host this event until ALL teams have finished their respected season. The Ghost of Swanker wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:29 pm Maybe Waverly should have lost sooner if they wanted to play in the SOC senior game. Again Burg has sat out a few of them, SW sat out a few, Oak Hill, NB. Everyone knows Waverly was the best team this year. Boohoo
NOT the point at all so I guess you’ll never understand. The Ghost of Swanker wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:29 pm Maybe Waverly should have lost sooner if they wanted to play in the SOC senior game.
