Maybe a good hire, but it’s sad that some of these schools are hiring in mid June. It is what it is.

Rumor around Waterford is it wasn’t the greatest ending, don’t think he had the chance to come back. Almost a forced retirement, sad for the time he’s put in.

Coached one year of junior high, last year. Haven’t heard of anything else other than that.

His time was several years past. Never tried to build a program. ?? on the new hire. Had some attitude problems as a player. Played and coached under Simms. Did they not have any other applications?

A great coach was contacted, but not interested in what they were offering. But yeah it looks like they still aren't to concerned with building a program. More worried about keeping certain people happy.

Guy has Ncaa tournament experience I think he will do well.

I think they interviewed like 6 or 7 people.

Out of everyone that interviewed, most of Waterford was SHOCKED about the decision, but the superintendent has ties to the family so not sure why that reaction occurred.

Not to mention Meigs with that coach that tells everyone he played D1 and they are just awful. Before that they had "NFL" and weren't a whole lot better than they are now. It doesn't always translate but you can't tell the people who do the hiring that. They think it means instant success.
