The Tigers host the South Gallia Rebels tomorrow 11/26 in the Den to open the season. Oak Hill defeated South Gallia 61-51 on 11/23.

South Gallia Rebels 62
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 58

The Tigers led after one at 15-13 and held a 10 point lead at the half 34-24. South Gallia took the 3rd quarter which ended 47-44 in favor of the Rebels and held on to take the victory 62-58. The game was tied at 57-57 with about a minute to play.

Scoring for the Tigers: Beasley 21, D.Maynard 12, Cahall 10, Rivers 6, Jackson 5, Lewis 3 and Henson 1.

Scoring for the Rebels: Stanley 17, Boothe 15, Frazee 14, Sanders 9, Cremeans 4 and L.Wright 3.

SG also won the JV game 48-41.

The Rebels evened their record at 1-1 while the Tigers drop to 0-1 to start the season.

New Boston's next game is Saturday 12/3 as they host the Ohio Valley Christian Defenders. South Gallia is at Notre Dame on 11/29 and at River Valley 12/2.

New Boston evened their record at 1-1 with the victory over the young Ohio Valley Christian Defenders squad. OVC slips to 0-2.

The Tigers played fifteen players this evening. NB led 25-0 after one, 46-8 at the half, 55-20 after three and the final 72-25.

Scoring for the Tigers: Cahall 20, Jackson 14, Beasley, Rivers and Brady with 6 each, Cooper 5, D.Maynard 4, Easter, C.Maynard and Allard with 3 each, and Tabor 2.

New Boston is at Sciotoville on Tuesday 12/6 and hosts the Clay Panthers on Friday 12/9. Ohio Valley Christian is at Huntington Covenant on 12/9.

The Tigers led after one at 22-15, at the half 36-27, after three 50-35 and the final 65-50.

It was the first SOC1 game of the year for both the Tigers and Tartans. New Boston improves to 2-1, 1-0, while the Tartans go to 1-1, 0-1.

New Boston won the JV game. It was 16-9 after one, 31-14 at the half, 40-22 after three and the final 56-28.

Next up for the Tigers is a home date with the Clay Panthers on 12/9. Sciotoville goes to Green on 12/9.

Leading all scorers was New Boston's Myles Beasley with 19 points, followed by Devin Maynard with 14, and freshman Tyrke Lewis with 14 points, 4 assists and 7 steals.
Sciotoville was led by Huston with 12 and Baughman with 11.

New Boston improves to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in SOC1. Clay falls to 0-5, 0-2.

The Tigers jumped out to a 20-0 lead before the Panthers scored at 6:19 in the second quarter. NB led 16-0 after one, 33-11 at the half, 47-22 after three and the final 63-28.

Dalton Jackson had 20 rebounds in the Tigers win.

The Tigers also won the JV game. Scoring by quarters, Tigers 12-4 after the first, 21-10 at half, 31-11 after three and the final 33-18.

New Boston makes the trip up to Willow Wood to meet the Symmes Valley Vikings on 12/13, host the Western Indians on 12/16 and finish the week with the River Valley Raiders on 12/17 at home. Clay has the Green Bobcats at home on 12/13 and the Fairfield Lions on 12/17.

The Western Indians came into "The Den" last evening and gave the homestanding Tigers their first SOC1 loss of the year, while picking up their first conference win. The Tigers trailed the entire game coming within 5 points at the :30 mark of the fourth quarter. New Boston had scored 9 points in each quarter entering the final frame and outscored the Indians 28-21. Scoring by quarters: Western 13-9 after one, 23-18 at the half, 42-27 after three and the final 63-55.

The Tigers slip to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Western improves to 3-4, 1-2.

The JV Tigers are 3-2 on the season.

New Boston hosts the River Valley Raiders tonight in a non conference tilt, while Western has the South Gallia Rebels in Latham tonight.

In the varsity contest, River Valley led after one at 14-12 and at the half 28-21. The Tigers rallied to tie the score 43-43 at the end of three and won the game with a last second three pointer 58-57.

In the JV game, the Tigers led after one at 15-9, at the half 26-18, after three 31-27, with the Raiders taking the final quarter and the game ending 45-37.

New Boston travels down to Manchester on 12/20 to face the Greyhounds. River Valley goes to Alexander to tangle with the Spartans that same day.

Manchester 51

The Tigers ventured into Adams County tonight for a non league matchup with the Greyhounds in their "Hound Pound".

New Boston held the lead at each stop: 11-9 after one, 25-21 at the half, 45-29 after three and the final 60-51.

The JV contest went to the Greyhounds. The Tigers held the lead at 16-9 after one with Manchester holding the lead at the half 30-26, after three 41-36 and the final 49-42.

New Boston's record is now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in SOC1 play. Manchester slips to 2-6 overall.

The Tigers next game is 12/27 at home with the Rock Hill Redmen and 12/30 at the Oak Hill Oaks. Manchester has Peebles in the McDonald's Classic.

The Rock Hill at New Boston game scheduled for this evening has been postponed with no makeup date yet.

The Tigers go to Oak Hill on Thursday 12/29 for a non conference game.
