Looks good. I didn’t realize (or remember) Fairland picking up their 5 loss.
Feels like Ironton is better than Vinton County

Fairland :
2X Losses to South Point
North Adams 35-37
Ironton 72-76 multiple OTs

There’s no way that New Lex has even been this high, right?

Pfloyd, great job as always. Seems as if I say this every week. LOL
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
Pfloyd, I think you forgot Zane Trace in your D3 Top 10.
There are surely in there at 12-3.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
Yep, should be 5th since they are 1 spot above Fairland
I’m interested in seeing ZT on Tuesday. Westfall has not been playing well, but they will be super hungry, so it could be interesting.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
Zane Trace should be able to handle Westfall again. The Pioneers have a huge advantage inside against them. ZT is 12-3, but they can be very inconsistent at times on offense.

... thanks Bozo, I did - not intentionally - edited it ... Coach K's boys are back in "bidness" ...

I believe Peebles/ Trimble around 2015. And Who Dey. Burrow is awesome.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
I do know there should have been THREE D4 teams in the Elite 8 back in the early/mid 2000's. Reedsville Eastern, Webster and Trimble - man that was one heck of a district tournament. I had all three in, but Floyd of course did not. He was still a D2 homer back then. lol
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
Early 2000’s would’ve been Whiteoak. Maybe 2004 or 2005?93Bulldog wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 10:13 pm I do know there should have been THREE D4 teams in the Elite 8 back in the early/mid 2000's. Was Trimble and South Webster both there any year before 2004?

2004 had Eastern beating Whiteoak and East in OT in both games, but Webster dominated the other bracket, handily beating Southeastern and Trimble.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 10:27 pmEarly 2000’s would’ve been Whiteoak. 2005 had Eastern beating Whiteoak in OT in the Finals, after Whiteoak beat Trimble. The other final has Webster escape Cam Thoroughman and Clay in the Finals.
2006 only had one district in D4 and South Webster won by an average of 44.5 over South Gallia and Whiteoak
2007 was Western rolling through one district, but Webster beating Southeastern in OT, before hanging on to beat…Miller in the finals. Miller had beaten Whiteoak by a basket in the semi’s

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
2003 is missing for some reason on the OHSAA site, but 2002 had the most ridiculous tournament game when Glenwood beat Fairfield, 109-100 in the sectionals, before losing to Clay, 92-89 lol
Also, that had Whiteoak over Eastern in the Finals of a singular district before marching to the Schott
2001 Eastern and Symmes Valley won districts, before Eastern won 2 tight regional games before reaching the Final Four
2000 had Whiteoak and Trimble reaching the Regionals. Side note: World Harvest Prep was beaten by 32 in the sectional semis, so they didn’t have their recruiting practices down yet.
Edit: found some stuff for 2003. Whiteoak beat Webster and Manchester on their way to another district title. Eastern beat Trimble in the finals on the other side. Whiteoak easily won their regional matchup, before losing to Wellington in the Regional Final

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #8
I'm trying to remember the exact year, maybe it was '03.
Trimble had Jenkins, Christman and Fouts, defeated a young Cam Thoroughman Clay team, but lost to Webster after Fouts hurt his ankle and was only about 70%. Eastern was loaded with the twin towers, Cozart, Simpson. They ended up in the regionals and lost to a Prep or Africentric at the fairgrounds. Webster had Aldridge, but it wasn't the state title team with Gaigai, it was prior to that.
