Was informed that for the first half of OVC schedule the boys and girls are switching days to play.
Girls will play Tuesday and Friday and the
Boys Monday and Thursday. This just OVC from what I was told. I checked on Maxpreps and those dates are confirmed so far. Not all of The Peake's schedule is there.

... hmmmmmm opens up the entire OVC schedule in the opening 1/2 of the season to be fair game for a pfloyd cheap seat visit ! Thanks for the heads up peake71 !!!

Could be to have Portsmouth and Fairland girls play on a Friday Night to attract more attendance (not that they need any help).

To answer OVC, Portsmouth girls play at Fairland on Dec. 20th a Friday.

Have heard the way the schedules are falling with the flips in the second half. All games boys/girls back to back at same locations.
So basically
Fairland/Chesapeake- boys at Chesapeake on Thursday
Fairland/Chesapeake-girls at Chesapeake on Friday.

I don’t know that we have ever seen this happen this way before curious to see how it works out back to back gates for the home teams will be interesting to see if it has any impact

Boys start a week later than girls, so the boys & girls matchups are shifted 1 week until the 2nd half of the schedule where they align (starting Jan 13/14).

Sorry for the misunderstanding was just sharing how the schedule would fall. Wasn’t actually trying to share any actual dates.

This is all over some title IX stuff... not sure the details... but it is 100% the reason behind the change.

100% right on Title IX.

Maybe if the wnba does this they will get bigger crowds too.

Title IX did come to mind for me as well.
