We always have players reaching the 1000 Point Scoring Milestone in the their careers during the season ... hopefully my fellow SEOPs followers/contributors will post when players in Southern/Southeastern Ohio reach this magic number...

...anyone on the scoring radar that we should be looking at?

Myles Montgomery sr. PG at Minford already joined the 1000 Point Club, the West Liberty commit now has 1511 points entering the 2024-25 season ... with 8 points he will become the All Time leading scorer in Minford basketball history with the magic number being 1518 points held by Steve Yeagle at MHS ... the opener for the Falcons is Dec. 6th vs South Point at the Falcon's Nest in Minford ... I'm going out on a limb and say history will be made in the opening qtr or half in this one ... mark your calendars, 12/06 @ Minford to watch history being made ... AND IF MY MATH IS CORRECT , we might be posting again around early February - Mr. Montgomery entering the rarified air of 2000 point scorers - we wish Myles a great senior season ...

... who else should we have on our watch list for scoring records this season???

Malachi Loper PG/2 guard Portsmouth is poised to join the 1,000 point club, as he has scored 930 points thus far ... Malachi spent his first 2 seasons at Portsmouth Clay before transfering to the Trojans for his final 2 seasons ... Malachi Loper, needing 70 points should surpass 1000pts, join the 1000 Point Club before Christmas ...

Braden Schreck (Sr.) - Ironton … Schreck eclipsed the 1000 point mark last year

Shaun Terry (Sr.) - Ironton … Terry is less than 300 away from 1000 points

... is Shaun Terry playing basketball this season? I figured Schreck would have been close (better than close - he's already joined the 1000 Point Club) ...

Oh wow I hate to see that. I completely understand from a football standpoint. From a basketball perspective I thought Ironton would be one of the top teams potentially in SEO IF he played. The trio of Schreck, Terry, and Layne would’ve been special.

It is going to be a hard loss for Ironton losing Terry, but they played really good today against Wesbter and they didn't have any of their football boys. I think they are still going to have a really food season without Terry.
