Monroe Central vs. Warren Thursday Night

Monroe Central (5-1) vs. Warren (5-1) at Marietta College. Two of the better teams in the Southeast/East in any division.

Looking for insights into this game. Predictions. Looks like net strength of schedule nearly even so far this year.

Is this game either live-streamed anywhere or on radio?

I think this will be a very good game. I don't know them real well but what I do know tells me they are very similar. Both have some physical strong dudes who can play, score, shoot and flat out get off the floor. Neither team appears to have the dominant post presence to keep the other from driving in the paint. Both will get up and down the floor, pressure the other and run a few kids off the bench. I wanted to get down to watch MC play Wheelersburg but didn't get there so I will admit my analysis may be flawed. In the end I will give an edge to Warren since they have played in more of these games and coached in more of these games. Could go either way but best of luck for a great game and everyone staying injury free.

Excellent start on the discussion. I've seen both play (Warren more so than Monroe Central) and at this time I'd rate this an absolute "toss up."

Hookshot - Did you happen to see the Wheeling Central game? I haven't seen MC at all and don't know the Sancomb kid from Wheeling Central but does he compare to the Stadleman kid from Warren? Obviously Sancomb went off (37 points) and i was surprised by that but just wondering if MC can slow Stadleman or if Warren has a better shot at getting him going. Thanks.

I only saw brief highlights of the Wheeling Central. Candidly, I think Monroe Central is better than they are, but maybe my opinion of MC is little inflated. They just don't seem to have weaknesses to me -- athletic, rebound well, can shoot it, adequate ball handlers.

Warren plays a very physical brand of ball and Stadelman occasionally goes off and is the difference-maker. I candidly think Monroe Central can contain him, and the MC coaching differential could be decisive. Las Vegas wouldn’t have this game any more than + or - 3 points either way. Could come down to the unexpected or unpredictable — sickness, injury, foul trouble, strangely bad night at the foul line, etc.

It's game day. Anyone know of live-stream or radio coverage of this game?

Monroe Central 59
Warren 48
--Stadelman goes for 25 points (seemed to have a few crucial turnovers) but was very good in the second half offensively.
--Sounds like Warren did not seem all that well-prepared and Monroe Central executed defensively.
--Monroe Central had a reserve player knock down 4 threes in the second half -- a surprise factor going against the Warriors.

Interested in other perspectives for those who were able to attend the game.

Good win for Monroe, but overall was a pretty sloppy game IMO. Neither team never really got into a good flow offensively. Those 4 3s by number 20 in the 4th were the difference.

Sometimes, it is the Ace up the sleeve that determines the winner. Congrats to MC. Really wanted to catch this game live, but was not able to make it.
