Meigs vs Jackson Today
Meigs tied atop the Pfloyd rankings, but can Jackson give them a test today, and maybe even pull off the upset? Is this game live streamed? Could be a good one.
Re: Meigs vs Jackson Today
Have seen Meigs play, haven't seen Jackson. Meigs has the height advantage. Never underestimate your opponents. We will be there for both games today.

39-29. Half. Meigs finishes 10-0 run.
Jackson right there at 29-29 but let things slip in the final two minutes of the half. Missed 4 or 5 inside baskets but Meigs size and length bothered the visitors often.
Meigs gave up 3 or 4 3-point shots from the corner early but seemed to fix that later in the half. Brinager some foul trouble limited his second quarter play.

Jackson has a solid team. But Meigs too big, strong and evenly spread out talent to lose many games this season.

Meigs has gotta up that schedule for next year. Get some more toss-ups in there, because they’ll only get pushed 2 more times before the tournament. It probably won’t matter in the districts, but it may in the regionals.SouthEast Hoops Fan wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 3:36 pm Jackson has a solid team. Very good team though.

I never really looked at the Meigs schedule, but yes, they have an exceedingly mild schedule. Their floor appears to be 20 wins and I'd probably bet on 22-0 as of today.danicalifornia wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 3:44 pmMeigs has gotta up that schedule for next year. Re: Meigs vs Jackson Today
Meigs is VERY solid. Kudos to that team. #32 was a big problem for the Jackson squad. Long, fast, and good around the bucket.
Anyone that puts up ~70 pts on Jackson has done something right.
I will say Jackson looked to be a little lackluster on intensity on D today compared to the previous 2 games for that group, but that also has to do with Meigs being a difficult matchup.
I'd love to see that matchup again in late tournament play, but only if Jackson installs some different type of zone offense, because theirs is too predictable and limited.
Also, I was thoroughly impressed with Meigs ability to only have 7 in the rotation, yet a big lineup, and still ran the floor well the entire game. Beating Jackson up and down the floor multiple times.
Great game of runs...
Definitely did NOT change the final outcome of the game, but ugh... travel calls extremely inconsistent, depending on your end of the court.
