Just saw that Tanner Holden has signed with the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League. Pretty awesome. Good luck to him.

Can’t imagine that we’ve had many from the SE who have played at that level. Very cool and hopefully things go well for him there!

I was thinking the same thing. Roberts was drafted right? But never played a game in the league. EJ Onu from Shawnee had bounced around some G-League teams, but he isn't a SE Ohio kid. Id have to think this is the highest anyone from around here has played?

He’s the statute at CHS…true NBA SuperStar!

Michael Jordan is the NBA’s all-time PER Player Efficiency Rating leader and No. 2 is LeBron James. At No. 10 on the list – just behind Kevin Durant and just ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo – is Neil Johnston.

Another advanced metric that attempts to measure an individual’s contribution to a team’s success is Win Shares.

Michael Jordan is the all-time leader in Win Shares per 48 minutes with .2505. David Robinson is No. 2, Wilt Chamberlain is No. 3 and – just ahead of Nicola Jokic, Chris Paul, Kareem Abdul-Jabar and LeBron – is Neil Johnston at No. 4.

I hope he makes a name for himself and has more success than he could even dream of.

Former OSU Coach Holtmann never used THolden to his abilities or he’d have had 2 great years for the Bucks. Still remember and I’m sure he does too the near halfcourt shot he hit against Rutgers at the buzzer to win the game. Magical moment in The Schott that moment!

Congrats to Tanner Holden.
Hijacking posts about people by listing an NBA HOFer is not a positive for the young man’s achievement.
Start a separate post and praise Johnston-who definitely is an all time great.

Was just answering a comment/question by 2 separate posters. Knew about HOF NJohnston while very few do, so did a quick search/copy/paste. This site is a place to share and discuss info for local sports and one poster was even appreciative of the info.
As stated I'm a fan/supporter of THolden and know him personally and a friend of his family. Used to visit with him and his family prior to games at OSU and as mentioned have an autographed OSU #0 Holden jersey hanging in my OSU Basketball themed basement.
Wish him nothing but good luck and will try to catch a G-League game.
