The Eagles were able to take down the Indians 64-62 in their first meeting earlier this month. Janes played an outstanding game having 25+ pts and 15+ rebounds. Eastern has since lost only to Northwest, with quality wins vs Oak Hill and Symmes Valley both by 20. Western comes off a big win against Western Brown and are 4-1 their last 5 games. This game is huge for Western if they want to win the league as this could be their third loss. (Eastern, Symmes) Eastern is the clear front runner in the league if they win this one as they have only one loss. Janes/Haggy have had multiple high scoring games, and Leist had 28 in the first half against Symmes the other night. This should be a fun one to watch.
Would be nice to see a large crowd in Latham tomorrow night.

This game normally draws a big crowd, even tho the game @ Eastern was disappointing for typical crowd size.
Could be the game of the year in SOC2 this season... GO EAGLES!
Eastern 68

This one is on the "pfloyd tour" itinerary for the Week that IS ... WestLA is as good as it gets for a high school atmosphere to watch a game , great gym/facilities, the people have always made me feel "at home" over the years as I've made the trek from the Hocking Hills Region to Latham ... Coach Leist has the Eagles playing outstanding ball at the right time of the season - in the middle of league play, building up to the post season ... Tucker Leist in the last outing vs Symmes Valley lit it up with I believe 7 first half three balls going 7/8 from behind the arc in the first 2 quarters! - took SV out of the game, turned them into the chaser for 4 qtrs ...other key players for Eastern - Boston Webb, Aiden Werner, Wyatt Richardson, DeClan Davis, Isaac Weaver, Cade Leist ... easily 7-8 deep off the bench for the Eagles ... Western has been the Drew Haggy/Kam Janes Show for the last few years ... the surrounding cast of players have been outstanding this season - going 8-9 deep in most games and at least 7-8 in the big games ... players have stepped up and committed to being better players, working to be better players for TEAM results - Foster Davis has been outstanding at both ends, freshmen Landan Owens has been the #3 scorer at all 3 levels, Tyler Kerns/Samuele Cattaneo are 2 of the best on ball defenders you will find, great minutes both offensively an defensively from Alex Siliven & Ayden Riggs ... fun team to watch! probably the key napkin stat that has hurt the Indians in their losses has been inopportune turnovers at key times - the value of each possession late AND EARLY in games ... 32 minutes , 94 feet of full court, big boy basketball ... looking forward to another trip tomorrow night to WestLA ...

Western didn’t come remotely close to getting a shot off after the triple by Leist.
Tried to run a backdoor cut for Haggy with about 8 seconds left and once it was taken away, they looked lost. Timeout with 1.4 to play and that inbound pass was knocked away for the Eastern win.

Western really forced a lot of shots in this game. I felt that they lacked offensive patience, which could have been the result of some pretty good D played by the Eagles.

Eastern moved the ball really well when Western tried to run/jump at half court or trap at any point. There were plenty of chances to extend a lead but the Eagles settled for too many 3's when shots just weren't falling.
But a win is a win especially on the road against a good team and county rival
