Give me the tigers by about 7.

Waverly is playing very well right now, even with back to back 2 point losses.

I think I agree with Swanker here, I’ll take the Tigers in this one.

As bad as I hate to say it, Burg bounces back in this one... But it'll be by a slim margin.

Should be a tight one. Whoever can play a better game in the 2nd half will win, regardless of the score at intermission.

Waverly catching Burg at a good time. Young Tigers got some real talent and will be fun to watch next couple of years. Playing Miami Trace tough shows what this group capable of.

Burg better do some soul-searching after the 40 pt loss to Webster, and then blowing a 20+ pt lead (in 3rd quarter) in their loss to Greenup County. Will be interesting to see who the leaders are in their locker room the rest of the way.*

Hope to see Waverly win after two hard fought losses. Be huge for the development of this group.

Burg has issues on and off the court. This is about the time the burg is getting better but this year they are going in the other direction

Callie: from what I’ve seen, Burg has no size and are average to below-average athletically for their standards. Not a good combo.

So with nobody able to beat anyone off the dribble consistently, the majority of their offense is chucking 3s. If they’re hitting them, they can beat you. If not, they are an average team. Looks like a Jimmys and Joes problem, not Xs and Os.

My biggest takeaway though is that Lattimore transferring in last year covered up many deficiencies for Burg that are now being exposed this season.*

I don’t think it’s a prater issue. It would be interesting to see what barrick would do with this group. It would certainly be a wake up call

Honestly doesn’t really surprise me, this is a very Burg and Waverly thing to do. Waverly plays some tough teams close then go against a down Burg team and Burg just steps up.

Seeing some grumblings from Waverly folk on thefacebook about the game

Anything crazy happen? Or just regular frustration of losing?

Those Waverly moms are nuts. They complain and yell nonsense for 4 quarters every night. All the regular Waverly fans are getting pretty sick of it.

Anyone remember the last time the Burg had a regular season losing record.

Callie: not sure on this one…I know they had a few down years in the mid 2000s (like 2010 or 2011), but not sure if there was actually a losing season. That’s the thing with Burg though…even when they “down”, they still usually above .500 for the season.

As for rest of this year, tough games remain with @ Ironton; Fairland; Minford; @ Notre Dame. Just win one of those games, and take care of business in the others like they did last night, and they finish 12-10.*

Basketball is really down I've watched every Waverly game. They are young but struggle. This game against burg however I believe they win that next year. Freshman is a good player for Waverly other than that only the Hurt boy is playing well. But still was a good game to be at. I enjoyed it and thought Waverly should have won it but can't turn ball over and miss shots in last 2 minutes like they did. Good things to come for the tigers in next few years
