Thoughts/Predictions on this one? Can the Indians beat the Pirates in back to back games?

Minus the West game, the Indians have been on a roll as of late. Only issue I see for them is that they only use 6 players. Be nice if they had a bench they could use to keep legs fresh throughout the game. But after their 6th man, it's JV players. I don't keep up with the basketball team as much as football. Any Indian basketball fans know why there are so few boys playing basketball this year? Last game I was at, there were 6 JV players and 6 full time Varsity players.
But I guess as of recently, the 6 they use have been playing great ball. Hoping they pull out a win tonight. It's not often you play back to back games with a conference opponent! Will this game be streamed?

injuneer: Valley has a couple of kids in their regular rotation out hurt (Dunham and Bender). As for the low jv numbers, not sure what the issue is. But the kids they do got out (especially the sophomore class) are pretty solid for the varsity squad. They also have some nice players in their freshman class as well.

As for tonight's game, Burg should get the win at home. They really did not play bad at Valley Saturday night as Valley was on absolute fire in second half from behind the arc. I look for another close one and for Burg to get the win 60-54.*

If Valley were healthy - I’d be tossing them as a tight winner.

If the injuries are accurate, Burg by 10.

This why FanDuel takes all my money. Valley wins @ Burg 57-53. Chase Davis was clutch once again for the Indians. They are going to be a real problem in D6 this year and for the foreseeable future.

As for Burg, they now at 7-9 and with Minford (Homecoming?) and @Ironton, probably time to start researching the last losing season for Burg basketball. I honestly can’t remember.*

I’m thinking Barrick’s last 2 seasons at Burg 2012 and 2013 were the last with last with a losing record

That was the last “down” Burg teams I can recall being somewhere in that timeframe. But couldn’t remember if any of those teams actually finished under .500.

This Burg team will still be dangerous in the tourney, but the tough schedule and not finishing games starting to catch up to them. With basically their whole team back next year, and some solid underclassmen coming up as well, they’ll be back soon.*

Old timer: good call. Just found on Maxpreps: 2011-12 Burg team went 8-14; and 2011-12 Burg team went 9-14.

I remembered them being down those years, but not that much.*

And we have the right coaching staff for these boys to be successful this season and future seasons. Coach Tackett and his coaching staff are doing a great job and deserve their fair share of the credit too. The difference in how that staff was treated by our fans last night at Burg compared to last year's game is night and day. We have something very special happening this year.

being in d6 also gives Valley a chance for maybe a district title run. EP and N Adams are solid but valley might be the 3rd best IMO so anything is possible

From what i've been told

Valley is starting 3 sophomores, 1 junior, 1 senior

2 starters are out with injury (soph & junior)

next 3 up are a sophomore & 2 freshman. Could be some good years in Lucasville.

Valley will be very tough in the near future. On the burg side, it appears they have forgotten "how to win" the close ones which has been something that most Burg teams excel at (mental toughness and expecting to win)

I liked what I saw out of the team and staff down at West (w/Wolfenbarker) and could see that something positive was being built in Lucasville

They will be prepped for whomever they’ll face in D6
