Zane Trace 54
Jackson 50
Final

Zane Trace was up 11 with about 4 min left after a barrage of three pointers late in the 3rd, but Jackson stormed back. Jackson still trailed by 10 with less than three minutes left, but cut the lead to one point with the ball 35 seconds left. ZT turnovers and missed FT's helped them rally. Jackson though missed a shot to take the lead with about 15 seconds left, then finally the Pioneers hit a couple FT's to seal it.

Rebounding and Zane Trace getting hot from 3 point land late in the 3rd quarter. If you let the Pioneers set their feet and have good looks, they will bury 20 footers most of the time. That was the problem against Unioto both times. Not good looks because the Unioto defense.

Just goes to show you how certain teams matchup better with some than others! Good win for Zane Trace, Jackson put it on Unioto at home!

If my math was correct, ZT made a total of 11 3s in the game...6 in the 3rd period alone. All in all a very impressive win on the road against a very solid Jackson team. Nice to see the guys not let last Friday's bludgeoning carry over into the next game.

Agree. I think Jackson, Unioto, Zane Trace and Miami Trace all pretty even in talent from all the games that I have watched. It comes down to when they play each other who is hot in that particular game and matchups. I know Miami Trace is still undefeated, but they have won a lot of close games. Unioto just flat shut down Zane Trace defensively both times. Jackson could have beat Miami Trace Saturday and the Ironmen just got out to a quick lead against Unioto. The Shermans could not catch up.

High quality win for Zane Trace

They are a team that you’ve got to run off of a 3 point line because they can get hot in a hurry like they did tonight. I haven’t looked recently, but halfway through the season they were shooting 40% from 3 as a team

I definitely agree! This was a very good win for the Pioneers. Division V is pretty good this year and has some quality teams. The tournament will be interesting. Keep it going ZT.

Jackson is a solid team with multiple narrow losses against very good teams but only one quasi high-quality win against Unioto, whose record is also misleading due to a less-than-rigorous schedule.

Fun game to watch. Zane Trace nearly blew this one in the end after outplaying Jackson decisively.

Other than Minford and Warren, I believe there are not any super teams in the Southeast this year but instead many average to good teams. As a result, any of pfloyd's top 15 could beat each other on any given night.

Agree Hookshot that the SVC is down this year.

However, in looking at Pfloyd's rankings, Unioto does have 2 wins verse Zane Trace by 36 points(#13), Leesburg (#16), Circleville (#18), and Washington Courthouse (#25).

I have seen Unioto a hand full of times this year. Very good defensively with ball pressure. Inconsistent offensively at times as they seem to take some questionable 3 point shots in some games quite often.

I watched the Jackson-Unioto game online and Unioto played no defense in that game for some reason. If they defended like they have the other times I have seen them, I believe they are more than capable of beating Jackson. If they play in the tournament, I would not be shocked at all if Unioto beat the Ironmen. Equally, I wouldnt be shocked if Jackson beat Unioto again. After Minford and Warren, most of the other "good teams" are more than capable of beating one another on any given night.

Radio guys said 9/19 I think and effort was the story of the night if the rebounding edge and opponent 3 point % that advantageous. ZT wanted it more as a whole
