Glad to see Eastern get in. They’ve had an outstanding season.

Pfloyd have any upsets on his radar? D7 on the 2 side could be really interesting.

Not necessarily ND, but Southern is beatable.

Minford has 4 games left, 3 against your current top 8, all on the road.

@ Miami Trace (1 seed in D3, teams are combined 36-1!) 👀
@ Eastern Pike (1 Seed in d6
@ South Webster (1 Seed in d7) !!!!ROUND 2!!!!

Good stretch to end the season and hopefully keep momentum going into the tournament.

Westfall is 8-13

Tough for Adena to stay last after beating Westfall for the second time. I can’t believe I’m going to vouch for the last place team in the worst SVC of my lifetime, but the Warriors were jobbed in a late game and were tight in several games. 2 wins over the 4th place team in which they were up comfortably throughout both games as well.

I also don’t think Huntington will beat Symmes Valley, but SV can’t be super pumped about that matchup. Huntington has the athletes they can throw at Smith to try and slow him and they shoot the 3 ball pretty well, which SV really struggles to guard.

Fixed the Westfall record ... I totally get your argument about Adena ... AND I DID say to myself " self ... those are 2 good wins vs a Westfall team who beat Unioto" ... you know more about the individual games, how Adena lost them ... they did lose ALL of the rest of their games so far (have RCCA and Ripley to play) ... I was almost ready to pull the trigger to get them out of the cellar ... then I saw 32-47 loss at home vs Trimble ...

That loss to Trimble was actually at your former home, at Logan lol which doesn’t mean it wasn’t a very bad loss

Pretty solid list Pfloyd. I do believe Eastern is a little too high at #8 even with their record. They are a solid small school and have a good chance in their division to do well in the tourney. I have seen them play twice, and do not believe they are better than the 8-16 ranked teams in your list imho.

... all good SoutheastHoopsWizard ... it is so tough to get the smaller schools into the top 8 ... not because they aren't good it's due to scheduling ... the non-conference schedule is USUALLY (not always) not as strong as the D3's or D4's etc. ... I'm looking forward to the Minford game on the 15th at the Eagles' Nest in Beaver ... hoping the weather holds up so I can make the trip down Rte 32 for this one ... Eastern has a solid lineup, Coach Leist does a great job - great philosophy, great vision for his program ... athletic/heady group of starters ... lack of size hurts but their physicality on D, quickness is a great compensator ... offensively they can hurt you - Tucker Leist/DeClan Davis/Boston Webb/Aiden Werner all make you pay in the transition game... Leist & Webb are outstanding scorers on the perimeter and with their quickness - add in Davis to this group- they get to the rim & finish ... penetration sets up their perimeter game ... I like them ... but I fully understand your take ...

Did Schreck play for Ironton in the Wheelersburg game Saturday night? I assume he did with the 67-60 win ... never mind, I just found where he scored 18 pts so - he played ... Ashton Layne was out ...

... the regular season Pfloyd Tour is coming to an end soon ... BUT until it does - pointing Pfloyd1 toward the Warrior Coliseum at Warren High School tonight (Thursday) for the Freshmen/JV/Varsity contests between the Warren Warriors and the Fairfield Union Falcons ... Friday night will have me heading down Rte 93 to Jackson to catch the Ironmen of Coach Morrow vs Coach Beard's Chillicothe Cavaliers in FAC action ... Saturday night I will close out the week at Eastern High School in Pike County as the Elite 8 #8 Eagles of Coach Leist will entertain the #3 Minford Falcons of Coach Shoemaker ...

Friday night was excellent! Eyes on the Jackson vs Chillicothe game in the Apple City, did the game rundown, then watched Nelsonville vs Meigs, Vinton County vs Wellston, Oak Hill vs Eastern Pike, Western vs Northwest, and Warren vs Parkersburg ... gotta love the livestreams ... hoping to get to Eastern Pike tonight taking on the Minford Falcons ... we'll see if it's a "can't get there from here" due to roads flooding - Mother Nature ... got a few hours to go before I have to make a call ...
