Watched both of these teams play the other night. Both of them struggled at times, but both battled their way to victory. Should be a great game to start the day Sunday at the Convo!
I'll go with Valley cutting down the nets, 56 - 51.
Thoughts?

Eastern hasn't play their best in a few weeks, so I hope they read all the SOC 3 talk for some extra motivation cause they will need it.
LET'S GO EAGLES!!

Valley lost 9 games...
4 of those losses were to SW/Minford
3 of the other 5 losses were VERY close/led late in the game and they just didnt finish.
Eastern is VERY good, but so is Valley.
I like the Indians in a close one!

Valley also lost to lowly SOC I team Notre Dame.
Last year, Northwest also didn't appear to be too negatively impacted by not being in the upper division.

Notre Dame went 18-5, won their SOC and are playing for a district Championship, if that’s “lowly”….id take it.

I think this will be a close one, I wouldn't count the Indians out by no means. But they'll have to play they're best basketball if they're gonna beat this Eastern team if they're firing on all cylinders. Hard to beat a Leist when they're on.

Roster for roster Valley is the better team overall. However, the Indians must limit their turnovers. First half turnovers have been a problem. Eastern also started slow against Eastern Reedsville but worked their way back. Indians need to contain shooting from Webb and Leist. I see Valley cutting the nets Sunday but it will be a very good and close game. Valley 51-46 Eastern Pike

I have not seen Valley play this year but from what I’ve heard they’ve been playing better. After watching Eastern play, I’ll take Valley

The Eagles have to come ready to play in this one. If they come out flat like they did against Reedsville it will not go in there favor. If they step it up on defense and out rebound Valley I’ll take the Eagles by 8.

Should be an interesting game Lucasville Valley has the athletes across the board that will benefit them by playing on a bigger court. Eastern Pike is going to have to match up with Valley in terms of personnel when you get on a bigger court like this. With all of that being said both of these teams are new to the convo so no one has that advantage, look for this one to be a lower scoring game and let's go with EP 48-43. Good luck to both teams, nice to see how the SOC has put so many teams in the District championship game.

Coop, you missed my intended sarcasm. I referenced ND and Northwest last year as examples of the quality of the other division's top teams.

Valley should/will be in this position the next few seasons with an extremely young roster, and a lot of talent coming up.

Have a feeling it’s going to be a rough 1st half with lots of Convo fed nervousness. Many new faces stepping on the floor for the first time.
Seems like EP has taken a step back the past few weeks. Valley hit a hot streak around the 14-20 game mark. This game will be decided with whoever plays the best - last 4 minutes.
Valley 52
Eastern Pike 48
