... traveled to the Convo to see the two girls D2 District finals ... I enjoyed the games FU beat MT 46-32 in the 6pm contest while Athens held on to beat Jackson in the nightcap 45-44 ... two different games in the MT vs FU my biggest napkin stat line was TOs a total of 49 TOs for the teams combined Miami Trace was held to 12pt in the last 2 periods - 2 fgs FU used/took advantage of 8 MT turnovers in the 4th built a lead that held up down the stretch as FU turned over the scoreboard for 20 points in the final quarter while MT hit for 5 points to sink the Panther ship ... FU 46 MT 32 final

... I have a couple of issues with the girls game of basketball ... girls players first names are way too long! i.e.. Brooklyne , Courtney,Kennigan,Whitney, Domnique to name a few - shorten the names !!! not only are the first names too long ... the long hair is too long! it covers the players numbers! can't read who scored, who got the foul ... two pet peeves of mine ...

PFloyd the Beaver Eastern Eagles won tonight but waiting for them is a very good Fairfield team. Very balanced tonight in the starters 3 quarters they controlled the boards and kept the Greer boy in check for the most part he had 10 . But he is going to be nasty by the time he's a senior !! Lands proved why he is one of the top players around and Pickett was very good tonight as well. Lightle played a very good all around game and Thacker and Fultz defense on Greer was outstanding. The boy survive and advance !!
