… the above rankings are a STARTING POINT for the teams Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line in the 2014-15 campaign … there will be many , many moves both up and down in the first few weeks … all of us getting to do "eye tests" on the teams in Southern/SEOhio - this is the best way to determine where the teams rank compared to others on the lists …

… Just as it has been for the last many years … the Pfloyd Tour of Southern/SEOhio will begin this Friday night at the Zane Trace TipOff Classic, followed by a full schedule again on Saturday at ZT as well … from there the tour begins to roll on Tuesday/Wednesday(at times)/Thursdays(at times), Fridays & Saturdays for sure … I'm excited !!! the sounds of basketballs hitting the hardwood, squeaks of the shoes, whistles blowing , the pep bands, cheerleaders, fans screaming … I'm smiling hoping all of you are as well …

I'll be a bit surprised if Wellston and Fairfield are that high later on. I think they both lose some key players from last year.

One of the top players in the district mixed with one of the top seniors gives them a dynamite backcourt. A very solid supporting cast and a team wide ability to shut down their opponent makes them a big pick to return to the Schott in March, IMO.

Paint Valley got pretty dominated at Hillsboro this past week, maybe Hillsboro needs moved up several spots.

I'm a huge Chillicothe fan, but you're right. We have one of the best players in the area, but not a top 8 team. But I hope we will improve as the season goes on.

I am totally geeked about the start of the basketball season, and especially watching the Trojans opening Friday vs. Gallia Academy. Hopefully the Red and Blue can play up to pfloyd's lofty #1 ranking, which is a great honor to defend. It will be tough to stay there, but I'm sure Coach Collins will have his kids ready to defend that #1 slot every night out. In the end, as the old cliché goes, it's not how you start, but how you finish that matters. I think the Trojans are primed for a special season, and just maybe we can make another trip to the Schott come March.
