I hate to point out the obvious but once might be luck, twice is a pattern. Thre times and you have a trend but 4 strait wins by 4 different teams and I believe that the slight edge that Warren possesses is on the sideline and in the coaches office. Maddox and staff do a fantastic job with game planning and scouting.

Well, we have put the basketballs away for another awesome year in seohio...lets get thru with baseball and start the
fall practice for football and then we can get to 2013-2014 basketball..next season will see a few surprises, the usual good teams doing well and some of the teams we think will do great will have some bumps along the way..Ironton---What a great ride you gave SEohio this year....we have sent teams to the Schott on a pretty regular basis and next year we will do the same....pink, thanks for the dream sheet for next season....posters..have a wonderful time backing your teams!

... wipala ... this past season was awesome to watch from the Cheap Seats ... as you posted Ironton made the trip to the Show, Warren made the trip to the Show, South Webster was 5 points away in the regional final to making the trip to the Show ... the 2013-14 campaign should be just as GREAT for the teams, the fans and us Cheap Seat guys Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... I'm so anticipating being healthy for the ENTIRE season next year - making the opening night trip to Zane Trace for the Tip Off Classic, traveling to the river to watch the Beasts of the Southeast tourney that Coach Davis & Co. put on ... it just has to happen! has to happen ! ... thanks wipala for all of your support my friend - until next season YOU take care - I WILL be here

The 2013/2014 PFLOYD TOUR
Since the TVC-Hocking will be much improved next year (7-of-the-15 players named all TVC-Hocking were underclassmen) I think you need to cross a couple of gymnasiums off your "Pfloyd tour bucket list"
1. Glouster (you havn't lived unless you have witnessed a sporting event in Glouster ... Bill White Gymnasium is definitely unique and worth seeing.)
2. Wahama (just because you MUST visit it at least once ... lol)
3. The new gymnasium in Racine (Southern is gonna be pretty good - and to see a new gymnasium is usually intresting.)

... I'll make note of those venues for next season for sure LOL ... I will even put off buying items at the local Walmart just so I can go to the Wahama/Walmart Duplex in W Va

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio- Preseason 1
After the learning curve season the Trojans put together this season, no doubt it would be very hard just to thro them into the elite,I feel Coach Collins and the young men would rather earn thier way in anyway!
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio- Preseason 1
If Wahama is included in the list of excellence from pfloyd, then the entire South Central Ohio League needs to be included since it has 5/7 members being from the SE - WCH, MT, Greenfield, Hillsboro and then Chillicothe next school year. Your non SE schools for next year are Clinton-Massie and East Clinton, then Wilmington in 2014-15.
I'll even give you your news source for those fringe schools.

We need to 'go-to-the-map' to make sure those schools are BELOW the Lancaster-Dixon line first ...bman wrote:If Wahama is included in the list of excellence from pfloyd, then the entire South Central Ohio League needs to be included since it has 5/7 members being from the SE - WCH, MT, Greenfield, Hillsboro and then Chillicothe next school year. ... looking for teams WAY Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line as I am sitting in a hotel in Atlanta - 56 degrees ... no snow

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio- Preseason 1
Wahama may be below the line, but they are also across the river in foreign territory, i.e. not eligible for SE District or even OHSAA tournaments.

Looking at the map ... are you sure Clinton-Massie, East Clinton don't play in the Indiana state tournament?

The new rule voted on by the commitee (which I believe is still one person) states that to be included in the top 8 - you must have 88% league membership now ... lolbman wrote:If Wahama is included in the list of excellence from pfloyd, then the entire South Central Ohio League needs to be included since it has 5/7 members being from the SE
TVC-Hocking ... 8-out-9 are in the district ... which happnes to be exactly 88%.
SCOL ... 5-out-of-7 ... is only 71%
sorry Bman - looks like Clinton Massie and the other 'Indiana schools' will be left out in the cold.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio- Preseason 1
While the sports are be good at Athens right now, the geography when you went through the halls of AHS must have been a little lacking, needless to say.
Foreign schools are clearly banned from the pfloyd list by rule 87, clause B, unless those folks provide some financial kickback, exception A. If one of the Wahama faithful can swim across the river and make a visit to Pizza Crossing in Logan to provide some incentive, the rules just might be bent. That purple hippo has an awfully big appetite. :122249

How do you think Floyd is soaking up the sun in Key West Florida right now? You don't actually think he "paid' for it do you?bman wrote:Foreign schools are clearly banned from the pfloyd list by rule 87, clause B, unless those folks provide some financial kickback

pfloyd: Great to talk to you at the Convo; I am excited about my 2013-2014 Trojans........this past season I figured we would fall from your preseason top 8 ranking, but next year we just might rise up into Elite Status, especially if we can fill the 5 spot. If that happens, the Trojans will have a better than average chance of making the regionals, with 7 of your top 11 for the 2013-2014 season being D2 teams.
I really think D3 will not have the depth that it usually has, but D2 should be really good.

... 93dog!!! I am on a recruiting - I mean scouting trip! all expenses are deductible on my 2013 taxes - it's all good
... will be making a "SCOUTING" trip to South Beach midweek - they say there is a team I should see - the Heat? I think that's the name LOL ... trojandave is looking for a player to fill the Portsmouth 5 spot for Coach Collins - something in a size 6-8+ I believe he was asking for
... trojandave it is ALWAYS great to catch up to you as well ... you're probably the only one on SEOPs that made the basketball state championships in Ohio, and the 2 foreign countries of West Virginia/Kentucky ... look forward to meeting up with you again during the 2013-14 hoops season Below the Line - I'll keep my fingers crossed that my health situation stays "stable" and I can get to Portsmouth for the B. Park summer get together ...
