…brown75 … Eastern Pike has lost recently to both Western Pike and Portsmouth Clay … IF the Eagles deserve to move up the list they WILL - guaranteed but they need to beat the teams they play AND hope those above them lose as well … the world famous "when they play good" statement applies to MANY MANY teams - the really good ones get "W's" even when they don't play good … this is not saying Eastern IS NOT a good team - I have the utmost respect for the Eagles program that Coach Fitch has put together … Coach Fitch is an OUTSTANDING coach … I always keep my eye on Eastern Pike - they will not be short changed in the rankings …brown75 wrote:pfloyd u got eastern pike way too low if u have seem them play it must have been a bad game. this team is better than that we are talking about a team that when they play good is tough and can hit 3s with any team in the area. as for the program itself we are looking at the next 3 years of possibly winning the soc1 so they at least should be above anybody in their own conference.

Erique Hosley keyed the offense and defense in the 2nd half, including a big block with 30 seconds left, but the bigger play was made by Alek Adkins when he recovered after that block and was able to get a block of his own and secure the ball. Nick Overly and Nick Corcoran both calmly knocked down FTs to put the game away. Great and somewhat strange atmosphere, as I'd say that 75-80% of the crowd was pro-Sherman.
PV led by as much as 17 in the 4th quarter before hanging on. They are starting to get key contributions from men 5 and 6 and that makes them much more dangerous. 4 straight W's to move to 11-7 for the Bearcats.
Adena gets the big bounce back win to move to 10-9 over a good West team.
Even with the ZT loss, it's a good night for the SVC in the non conference slate.
