Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
... please correct any team records that are incorrect ... this time of the year teams play in holiday tournaments on odd/off nights and I WILL miss scores ... any help you can give is appreciated ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
How can you have Peebles who is undefeated with a win over Eastern Brown so far behind Eastern Brown?
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
They don't pay as well as Eastern Brown. :122249 :122249 :122249
Peebles probably hasn't received the famous pfloyd eye ball test yet.

Peebles moved up 4 spots from last week with the BIG win over Eastern Brown ... however teams in front of them (presently) also had wins to hold serve, while others lost games and position (Vinton County, Fairland as examples) ... the closer to the top you get the harder it becomes to move up I92 - you know that ... bman is right - I need to see Peebles in person to make comparisons with others above them - the win over EB as big as it is IS also the lone quality win for Peebles right now ... Peebles made a statement with the win, Peebles MOVED UP and continues to MOVE UP ... more importantly they have the attention of the committee of one -me ... I'll get out and see the Indians in action soon ...Ironman92 wrote:How can you have Peebles who is undefeated with a win over Eastern Brown so far behind Eastern Brown?
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
That's quite the quality win. Everyone above Peebles has a matching or better record or better wins?
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
It looks good pfloyd.....
I just feel early-ish in the season that a team that was 5-0 with 4 pretty good wins and then they face a 4-0 team that has been blowing lesser teams out....you'd figure the SOS would help EB to beat Peebles....but Peebles beat them by 6 and while playing not so tough teams has destroyed each and every one of them.
As Peebles plays the better teams in the league we'll see I guess (Fayetteville, Lynchburg, @Fairfield)....those type of games will tell more.
Eastern Brown
Peebles/Lynchburg Clay
Fayetteville
Fairfield
West Union
All pretty decent this year....and @Ripley is always tough

3 of your very bottom of the end table teams....it wasn't that long ago that they were totally dominating SE D4 living and winning at the Convo.
SW has really fallen hard recently and I don't believe their jr high is loaded. Not sure about Eastern. Whiteoak does have pretty decent talent at the 6th-8th grade level.

Why would anyone want to watch a final 4 team (Warren) play the defending state champion (Watterson) when there is a game in Mason West Virginia between Wahama and Trimble ...
The bridge is still purple - looks real puuuuuurdy this time of year, Floyd ... just sayin.

93dog, bman , others ... when are the games to be played in FL by Logan Elm, Athens , others ??? I know they are after Christmas, do we have exact days and/or opponents yet ? 3 games correct ? ... 93dog - with your connections - keep us updated on the results of those games , I believe you had mentioned that Logan Elm and Athens were playing in the same "pool" of teams (I may be wrong on that one) ...

I am about to find out all that info Floyd. I'm curious myself. I'm pushing for an Athens-LE rematch in Florida - but I don't think coach Stiverson will go for it ... lol
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 3
... that's one of those grab the basketball, bank it off the side of the garage, off the roof into the basket shots i.e. YOU DON'T TRY IT AGAIN! JUST WALK OFF no rematch in FL with the Braves LOL ...

Washington CH at Vinton Co tonight as well pfloyd. That will be about as even of a height matchup either team will have this season!
And small adjustment, Huntington is now 4-4 (PV, Westfall, Adena, and Wellston as wins)

... got it ! thanks daniC ... I would love to see that one tonight at Vinton County! ... Washington CH is a lot like Logan Elm in that they are a perimeter oriented ball club , good defensively, and can light you up from outside if they are on target ... Life gets in the way some times LOL ...

I'm really struggling reading that OHSAA website lol, it's only freshmen and JV for the WCH/VC matchup according to the site now that I've rechecked it out.
