North Adams v. Paint Valley (Sectional Championship)
North Adams v. Paint Valley (Sectional Championship)
North Adams looks to get their first sectional title in 7 years on Saturday v. Paint Valley. The Lady Devils are playing very well right now. If they can play like they did the last two games, the Lady Devils will be cutting the nets down (so to speak) in Lucasville.
GO LADY DEVILS!!!!!
GO LADY DEVILS!!!!!

Sounded like West Union turned the ball over a ton in their game against Paint Valley. As long as North Adams limits turnovers and takes good shots they should advance. Playing defense as they did in their last game will also help greatly.

I like the Lady Devils chances but they still have to play well. Take care of the ball and rebound. If they do those two things really well and hopefully shoot the ball decent they should win. NA by 7

I'd love to see PV get the W tomorrow.
Recently, they have played very well, even though they had lost 4 out of 5 coming into the tournament. They hung with Unioto for 2 1/2 quarters, took Zane Trace to the final horn, and went to overtime against Lynchburg.

Congrats to the Lady Devils on their sectional title win!!! This is their first sectional title in 7 years.
Great 4th quarter by the Lady Devils. Down 1 to start the fourth and proceeded to go on a 13-0 run to put the game away.
Great game by Ally McFarland, who hit two big three's and finished the game with 10.
Karli Beasley finished with 19, as she went 13-14 from the foul line.
Nice touch by Coach Davis and AD Chris Young to allow the team to cut the net down at the HS, following a police/fire escort through town, since they were not allowed to at Valley.

Really proud of these young ladies from North Adams. Worked hard all year for this opportunity. The sky is the limit for this group too as many of these young ladies are just that YOUNG. I see numerous sectional titles in the Lady Devils future with the great group of young players in the program.
Congrats to Rob Davis for a job well done!!

Congrats! Sounded like a heck of a dogfight and PV pretty much locked down Beasley from the floor but she got hers from the line.
A police escort after a sectional championship?? That might be a first! haha
It's good the team got to cut down the nets at the h.s. afterwards though, that's prob. something very important to these girls.

It's been 7 years since the last sectional title. Good reason to celebrate for winning it! Hopefully, we now have that winning attitude we need in the tournament. Finally got that monkey off their backs! On to Waverly and then hopefully to the Convo!!

One more win and it's on to the Convo! That should be some decent incentive.

actually hoopin, it's pretty common for small towns with great supportive basketball communities like these to escort their teams back into town after winning a tournament....it's a great way to show the kids you are behind them and are proud of them.....its also been tradition to cut down the nets after a sectional win until this year and I'd say it's important to all teams not just these girls.....
only 1 team in each division ever gets to call themselves the state champs but that doesn't mean that other teams who achieve their goals don't have every reason to be proud and be celebrated!...that's the great part about high school basketball
