Re: Manchester Lady Greyhounds ( 2009-2010)
I am looking for Manchester to have a pretty nice season. They are getting more experienced and have been improving each year. Coach McFarland has done a very good job with this team. Good Luck to the Lady Greyhounds and all the SHL teams in the off season as they prepare for next year!

More experience will help the Lady Greyhounds but that can also be said of most of the SHL teams as most were young last season. As I look around there are few teams that will be losing many players and I look for next season to be quite similar to this season with Eastern, Lynchburg, and North Adams battling it out for the big school division and Fayetteville, Fairfield, and Manchester in the small.

NA wins the big school.
I will go with an upset and say the Lady Hounds win the Small school.

They opened the job up to the public and I for one think it's a kick in the face to McFarland on the girls side and Palmer on the boys side. They tried this stunt last year where they didn't give Brianna McFarland an answer until almost summer on whether they would have her back or not. She does a great job with the girls and they will be making a huge mistake if they try to replace her.

I totally agree Griswold. Why would you try and replace Brianna? She has done an outstanding job with the girls program. As I stated earlier, I think, with Coach McFarland at the helm, they could be a tough team to contend with next year. But, if they replace her, I can't see them being very good next year because the girls would have to learn a whole new system again.
Come on Manchester! Get with it!

Any word if the lady hounds have a new coach or was the ohass web site just a something that manchester board had to do . just wondering
Re: Manchester Lady Greyhounds ( 2009-2010)
No the board does not have to post the job on a state website! They have to post it in-district due to the state law of non renewing supplementals every year (which I find absurd, but that is a discussion for another day). I think Manchester posting the job on a statewide website, putting the job up for any one to apply is totally disrespectful and a kick in the face for a coach who has done such a good job for the program at Manchester.

Sounds like Manchester has a new basketball coach. According to a post on the boys forum P J Wagner is now the girls basketball coach at Manchester.
