Thanks to all the teams that participated today. Congratulations to Champion McClain who went 6-0 on the day. Overall a great day of basketball! Each team was down a few kids here and there but the level of play was fantastic.

DeSales 3-0
Oak Hill 2-1
Paint Valley 1-2
Huntington 0-3

SCORES
DeSales 26 PV 22
Oak Hill 42 Hunt 22
DeSales 34 Hunt 26
Oak Hill 41 PV 35
PV 29 Hunt 18
DeSales 34 Oak Hill 32

POOL 2
McClain 3-0
Adena 2-1
Western 1-2
Vinton County 0-3

SCORES
Adena 54 Western 19
McClain 35 Vinton County 9
McClain 31 Western 15
Adena 47 Vinton County 30
McClain 33 Adena 29
Western 41 Vinton County 27

Tournament
DeSales 30 Vinton County 10
McClain 36 Huntington 16
Adena 32 PV 28
Oak Hill 41 Western 18

Semi Finals
DeSales 34 Adena 13
McClain 29 Oak Hill 28

Championship
McClain 32 DeSales 31

Quick thoughts:
Oak Hill is going to be VERY good for a long time - had some excellent young kids and very well coached of course. DeSales is a very talented team that plays very good defense - very long lanky, quick kids. McClain - very balanced and as long as Coach O is there they will be a contender! Adena - I predict this right now - will be a MAJOR player in the SVC this year. They have great balance and two outstanding Freshmen. Coach Cox is going to be a good one (again you heard it here first) - great choice by Adena! PV - Coach Everhart is an outstanding coach (I am biased of course) and gets absolutely everything out of those kids - if a few more kids can continue to develop and blend in with the 3 very experienced kids they will have a great year. They move down to D4 so.....don't sleep on them! I thought Western played well with a limited bench today - Coach Lightle is a very good coach and will make his kids play to there strengths. Huntington looks like they are trying to find there identity but with a player of the caliber of Madison Vickers they will be fine. VC played without Tori Dixon today so I think there scores are a little deceiving.

Again - thanks to all teams and we will see most of you at the Lady Cats Classic in November!

very impressed that Oak Hill only had 3 varsity players and played as well as they did.
