not only is the district final at the convo but the regionals will be at the convo instead of Lancaster.

I always look forward to the games at the downtown gym though!

In regards to the Valley Sectional, one thing you have to take into consideration is the conference breakdown. Of the 10 teams in the sectional, 5 are from the SHL (North Adams, Lynchburg, Peebles, Eastern and West Union), 4 are from the SVC (Piketon, Adena, Westfall, and Huntington) and 1 (Northwest) from the SOC-II.

In regards to the Valley Sectional, one thing you have to take into consideration is the conference breakdown. Of the 10 teams in the sectional, 5 are from the SHL (North Adams, Lynchburg, Peebles, Eastern and West Union), 4 are from the SVC (Piketon, Adena, Westfall, and Huntington) and 1 (Northwest) from the SOC-II.

The conference you are in should have NO relevance whatsoever in who gets what seed, but it does! I really dislike the way the Political draw, (OOPS, I mean Tournament Draw) is done. Because it shouldn't be about politics, who can talk which team into allowing them to get what seed. I wish there was a different way to do it in which teams were ranked and seeded according to record and quality of team. This JUNK they do now is a joke! You may have a team that deserves a 2 seed in the tournament and gets a 4 or 5 seed because the coaches of each conference got together and voted against them just because they all had a previous deal worked out with each other.

We have to deal with politics too much these days as coaches any way with the way coaching jobs are filled and parents trying to talk their child's coach into letting them play more or whatever. Why do we need to add politics into the Tournament?

I don't see it as much in the tournament draw for girls as I have seen it in boys. The only time I have seen it in girls is when it comes down to a tie and then you may see a team go with their league.

Usually in the girls you have one or two teams that you want to stay away from for as long as possible and might try to work that angle.
