Congrats to The Lady Spartans. What a great game to watch. Both teams left it all out on the floor. Congrats to the West ladies on a great effort and all the fan support you had. If your gonna go out thats a great way to end it if there is such thing. That being said, I have to agree with the Game about the West going away with it. Spartans had 12 turnovers to 26 or 28 West turnovers, the Spartans just couldn't put the ball in the bucket. Hope they can hit some shots in the next game and play some more good D. Good luck to the Spartans and keep playin hard.

WOW! Heard this one on the radio, what a barnburner! Great effort by the Lady Spartans to win in spite of ice cold shooting, 3 players fouled out, and a huge height disadvantage. This just goes to prove that old saying "It isn't the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog!" They won by sheer defense, guts, and determination,and according to the radio, savvy coaching. Congrats to both teams for a fight well fought. These are both young teams who may see each other again, and they should just both be better next year. They can't pay me enough to work next Saturday, So I'll be there with bells on to cheer you on at the Convo. Keep it up Ladies!

Very good game to watch. #22 from Portsmouth West was impressive and if I read the program right is a freshman. If that's true West should be extremely optimistic about the next 3 years.
Alexander really hung tough and gutted out the win. They overcame foul trouble and a gritty opponent. Congratulations on a hard fought win.

And she is. We have alot of young talent. Our freshman class is real solid. Hope they stick with it and with Maynard there this girls could be something special for the West Side.
