Girls basketball previews for all TVC teams

Does anyone know where any of the TVC teams will playing their previews? Also when they will take place?

The 2 games in the middle will be the best games. Alex big - Eastern big - probably S. Gallia - Toss up - Nelsonville - VC

Why is Athens not listed on the updated scheudle Mark?

Are they not playing in the preview?

Not sure about Athens, our AD told me a few teams dropped out and gave me the revised schedule that I posted above.

It's doubtful that Alex, Athens, Meigs or Wellston will show anything Friday night! I was at the Wellston scrimmage Saturday watching my daughter and her team which is very young team this year an will struggle at times in the tvc.. Wellston will finish in the top 3 in the Ohio Div. South Gallia and Southern will finish somewhere in the middle of the pack in Hocking..

ATHENS & TRIMBLE are playing against each other Friday night in Athens ...

Athens is hosting a foundation game to benefit The Susan Cohan Kasoas Colon Cancer Foundation Nov. 19th. The Athens girls will face off against Trimble ... The Athens boys will play Federal Hocking. They also will be collecting canned foods for the Salvation Army with all the food staying right here in Athens County.

I'd like to do a foundation game, but you have send $250 (each school) to the OHSAA Foundation to even hold such a game.

No sense in playing in a preview that nobody is going to show anything at when you can get a good regulation scrimmage in (and for a good cause). I don't know much about Athens, but I expect Trimble to be very good this year.

With all the proceeds going to the TVC from the girls scrimmage I would think that all teams would be required to play in the preview. I know it's not a better cause then the foundation game but you could play that on Saturday night. It seems that teams wanting in the league so bad should participate in the previews.

How'd the Athens game come out? Also how'd the teams do at the preview? Did anyone go?

Very few teams showed anything at all, I wouldn't put any emphasis what so ever on the preview.

The preview is pretty much a waste. With no real coaches showing anything. You can still look at the talent level of the girls and pick out the threats. Nelsonville was much improved as was Wellston. Belpre played well with Meigs although neither team played there best much of the game. S. Gallia didn't look bad. Good addition to Hocking division middle teams. Eastern or Waterford will finish 1st with Trimble & Belpre and the rest following. May be worth the drive to watch Eastern/Waterford games. May try to go to both. How far will the best TVC team go this year and who will it be?
