Congrats to 4 great Senior Lady Spartans. Kayla Radeken, Julie Els, Whitney Daugherty, and Morgan Grinstead. It has been such a pleasure watching these young ladies play the game the way it needs to be played. Come out to support these Lady Spartans and show them how much we all have enjoyed watching them play. Go Spartans

You are exactly right erv. These 4 lady's have put on quite a show in their four years at Alexander. I have watched them play several times and they play the game the way it is meant to be played. I really hope the community comes out in full force tonight to support them in their final home game at the alley. Good luck lady Spartans tonight and on your long run through the tourney. You four will be greatly missed. While I'm sure that there will be several schools that will be glad to see ya go!!!

Alexander jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, beating Nelsonville-York 57-30. Emotions ran high at Alexander in the pre- and post-game, as tonight was senior night for Whitney Daugherty, Kayla Radekin, Julie Els and Morgan Grinstead. Senior night couldn't had went better tonight at the Alley. The Alexander faithful came out in full force to support their team and 4 awsome Senior girls. It was a special night for the girls, their family's, the coaches and all the fans. I'm sure everyone involved will remember this night for along time. As for the game, the Lady Spartans went out in style. They came out on fire and never really cooled off. Coach Guthrie pulled the starters with just under 2 minutes left in the third up 50-16. He put them back in towards the end of the game so they could get the standing O like they deserved. Congrats to the Spartans on a great win 57-30 I think that was the final. Its been a pleasure to watch this group play.

I haven't been able to see many of the Spartan games this season because of my work schedule this year, but I made it a point to see our Senior night! As everyone has said, this has been a great group of hardworking and dedicated girls who each deserve all the accolades they can get. They have been great students, leaders, and friends and will be greatly missed when they move on to the next stage of their lives. Kudos to the girls, the coaches, and their parents. Hope you continue to shock the masses come tournament time when they see all those 'little girls' kick their butts!
