Re: SOC II
Northwest has a freshman (McGlurg) that will help the team a lot. hey, my list got some comments. The Hall kid(freshman) at Webster will be a 1000 pt scorer before she graduates. Lots of young talent in SOC2 this year. Should be interesting. ManitouDan, Are you at the boys previews?

Re: SOC II
Notre dame saw 6-7 schools in scrimmages , no one even came close to defending like Minford did. well coached , kids know how to play the game.

Re: SOC II
Minford had a big run in the third qtr. against Valley and was up by 18 at one point. In the fourth Valley put on a full court press that Minford initally had a problem with but finally broke. ManitouDan is right. No way Northwest will be above Minford but I do think SW will be above West. Minford really surprised me as did Oak Hill. Hale didn't show much at the previews but evidently he didn't want to show much. Big win over West.

West is without 2 if not 3 starters. makes a big difference, but I was shocked by how large the spread was. I guess OH was sandbaggin' a tad at the previews .

West is without their ballhandler and their shooter. With those two back it will make a difference I'm sure. I believe Hannah has till the 20th of Dec. and
Alex next week sometime.

I thought Leader was West's Shooter? Also oaks shoot 38 free throws in West's home gym? Made 32, that s more than some tems score no matter who is back u can't win games like that..lol

Coach Hale is a great coach. His players are disciplined and he has developed a tradition of winning which is contagious. He doesnt have near the overall talent level he had last year and they still won their first game by 20. However I think there are several teams that can beat them. It is a tribute to Hale that he brings out the best in his players, utilizes the strengths he has and exploits what he needs to in other teams to win.
Re: SOC II
Free, she has gotten off to a slow start being a freshman. Monday she played JV. She had 6 steals and 2 blocks before she got hurt. She was diving for a ball and hit her head on a wheelersburg girls knee. She suffered a sprained neck. They thought she had a small fracture in her vertebrae but the cat scan came back all clear. She will probalby miss minford on thursday and be back monday. Hopefully she can help varsity some by the end of the year. She is phenomenal defensively but needs a lot of work on her offenseive skills. Thanks for asking.

Re: SOC II
From reading through this thread again, I don't think anyone expected Burg to start out 4-0 (3-0). I know it is still early in conference play, but this could be a very interesting season!
