This is the Lady Cadets 3rd sweet 16 in 4 years. 2014 was only year they did not make it and they lost to Garaway in district final. This season the redeem that loss. Fort is (23-3) PVC Champs and OVAC Champs and ranked 9th in the state. 3 losses came to Waterford (2x) and Parkersburg South with both teams still playing. They are not flashy and win with defense with 2 6-1 players Sr. Meghan Leidtke and Alexis Enoch. These girls give the Cadets a huge edge inside. 2 perimeter scorers in Michelle Adkins, and Makayla Leidtke. What's Irontons record?

I thought Ironton was a year away with only 1 Senior this year but they are playing some good ball at the right. The Lady Tigers have two 1000 point scorers in JR-Lexie Barrier (verbally committed to Virginia Tech) and SO-Sydney Webb. I look for this to be an exciting game.

Also if the Tigers are quick it might a huge advantage because this is not the Cadets most athletic team. They do everything right though they have a stud coach

She's one of those Players that can play any position, just depends on the situation. She can play strong inside and she can hit the trey, all around great player.

Fort Frye is a good high school team with a couple of weaknesses, but they have a really nice front line and they play good team basketball. 3rd Sweet 16 in four years is a pretty great accomplishment for the program, but it's the first trip for this bunch of girls.

Ironton is in a class all by itself right now as far as how well they are playing. I haven't seen Fort Frye play in a few years so I don't know what to expect.

I just know Ironton is playing its best ball at the right time of year. I'll take the Tigers in this one and Saturday to go to STATE! Good luck Tigers.
