This one is going to be interesting. Circeville and Sheridan are locks . Vinton County beat both Warren and unito in head to head this is where strength of schedule debate will come into play?? Vinton County has has the toughest schedule of everyone...

I can make an argument for seeding Vinton over Unioto. I think the top three are pretty set, barring an upset or two this week.

So here we go....as I stated in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=82535 Vinton County schedule up, and I mean "UP." And because they have and suffered five losses, they are not getting credit for the schedule. Granted the home loss to Nelsonville was a bad loss, but the others, come on. All road losses to a DI, 17-2 Newark, 16-1 Wheelersburg, 15-1 Fort Frye, and a DI 13-6 Olentangy Liberty, a combined record of 61-10. Furthermore, the Vikings have wins against Warren and Unioto, two teams bman has ahead of the Vikings.

So, as I expected, no one is given credit for quality losses. But yet, it remains to be seen how this little experiment plays out during tournament time.

Yes I knew their schedule was tough. That should help them in the tournament. It is going to be tough for anyone to come out. It is loaded with good teams. I have no dog in the fight. My pick to come out of these 18 would probably be Sheridan but probably going to get the best team out of Columbus (Jonathan Alder) in the Regionals.

I think 4 is appropriate for VC. Yes, we beat Warren but they handled Nelsonville and beat Fort Frye in a close one. Definitely think we should be ahead of Unioto though

I’m commenting on all 3 of your posts. I think move VC in front of Warren. Pay respect to the schedule. RV drop before Chilli. FU above MT. Pretty good!

Warren has such tradition. Just seem to know how to win. This is going to be an unbelievable tournament this year.

I'd personally seed Vinton at four over Unioto, but the district tends to vote record over strength of schedule, although we are finally starting to make a little progress there over the last few years, which is why I listed it as I did. I'd seed Warren ahead of Vinton. Warren also defeated Fort Frye, which Vinton recently lost to.

Ultimately, when we are arguing the 4-5, we are arguing jersey color for the district final, because I see both teams holding serve to set that meeting up,

Which is my argument, being that Vinton County is never tested come tourney time, "...they play a weak schedule..." "...the TVC is horrible..." and so on. So when you schedule up, and you lose, it doesn't mean anything. Maybe come tournament time, it may, we will see, but as far as seeding it doesn't mean anything. You are never given consideration for quality losses, just losses. So now, with the super sectional, the Lady Vikings may have a tougher row to hoe, to get to a district final. Especially this year, because this district is freaking loaded.

As I have always said; "There is a fine line in scheduling to be competitive and tested than beaten and discouraged."

You guys went pretty big a couple times. With TVC schedule and Alexander and Nelsonville typically being 4 very quality opponents. Warren, Unioto, Miami Trace, McClain, Circleville, FU, Sheridan, Marietta, Oak Hill, Wheelersburg....a nice mixture of 4-5 of those teams should suffice IMO for that fine line.

Health more important than seed. Is everyone back and ok?

Still nursing a couple of nagging injuries, but for the most part...yeah...after last night, we are better mentally too. Which is very important, being confident.

And if you look at last night scoring, they are awfully hard to beat, when you have Morgan and Cameron go for 18, Teagan 16, and Lacie with 14, we can be a tough match-up for anyone. I am sure none of those teams are looking forward to playing this 5 seed.

since everyone wants to forgive VC for scheduling and injuries need to show
Jeff Miller at Unioto some love. They will take the 5 seed after everything that happend to them.
Lose 5'11 Riley Davis
Lose 5'11 Carissa Wheeler
Lose 5'10 Erin Callahan
Davis and Wheeler would have started with Callahan coming of the Bench
Miller has coached his butt of to get where they are and they aren't complaing
if those 3 are Healthy they go probably undefeated and where would VC be then 6-7 seed so just let the coaches decide and go from there

After watching the games tonight I'll stick with my prediction above from early January. Vinton will have to shoot lights out to make it interesting. Best of luck to both teams.
