2016-17 hiland beat ff in 85-26 in the tourney. No bearing on this game, but definitely the worst beating they've taken in a long timeEasternDspy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:54 pm I’ll take Cadets to cover 20. Dan Liedtke is to good of a coach. Anyone know the last time they lost by 20???
Re: Sweet 16: Hiland (23-1) vs Fort Frye (22-1)
Hiland hits back to back 3's to pull within 4. Cadets lead 17-13 in the 2nd qtr.

Tied at the half 26 all. FF lead by 10 and Hiland scored the last 10 of the half.

Re: Sweet 16: Hiland (23-1) vs Fort Frye (22-1)
Cadets lead 38-39 late but lose 46-39. Heck of game. I hated how they called the game both ways. This is regionals let them play a little.
Re: Sweet 16: Hiland (23-1) vs Fort Frye (22-1)
After the FF 39-38 lead at 3:03, Hiland gets the last FG of the game to take the lead right back 40-39 . Then FF misses the front end and Hiland doesn't even hit the rim on 6 straight FTs while playing great defense on FF who had to shoot. Great class by FF for not fouling the last 30 sec when the horse was already out of the barn.

Hurt the Cadets with Ross in bad foul trouble.mhs95_06 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:29 pm After the FF 39-38 lead at 3:03, Hiland gets the last FG of the game to take the lead right back 40-39 . watched this game and the difference was the turnovers, ff 20/hiland 7

I'd like to stat that game, because if ff only had 20 I'd say someone was generous.blackshooky wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 6:18 pm watched this game and the difference was the turnovers, ff 20/hiland 7

What truly sucks is we were 2 girls away from being d4 again. Shadyside is in regional final and ff would be minimum 15pt favorite over them. Congrats to hiland, a great program

I was there and I had Fort Frye with 19 turnovers. However, Hiland only scored nine points off the FF turnovers.Unread post by Ff3233 » Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:27 pm

Hiland had one other 7-point win on their state title run, and romped in the state championship game. Fort Frye won't get to hang a "State Champion," or even "Final Four," banner in the gym, but this was one of the two or three best squads that's come through the program.

Can always say they lost to the state champ. FF was definitely a state contender which is very rare in Southern Ohioefarns wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:24 pm Hiland had one other 7-point win on their state title run, and romped in the state championship game. This was a strong senior class. They made the Final Four last season with mostly juniors.Rutter lover wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:53 pmHow many seniors on FF roster?EasternDspy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:40 pmHurt the Cadets with Ross in bad foul trouble.mhs95_06 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:29 pm After the FF 39-38 lead at 3:03, Hiland gets the last FG of the game to take the lead right back 40-39 .
