Inaugural Battle in the 740
Introducing the Inaugural Battle in the 740 to be held at Shawnee State University Saturday, December 9 & Sunday, December 10, 2023
Twelve total varsity games scheduled with four girl’s games and eight boy’s games.
December 9, 2023 schedule includes:
Girl’s games:
Bloom Carroll vs Warren Local 11am
Worthington Christian vs Notre Dame 12:30pm
Reynoldsburg vs Fairland 2pm
Boys Games:
Bishop Hartley vs North Adams 3:30pm
New Albany vs Minford 5pm
Olentangy Liberty vs Huntington, W VA Highlanders 6:30pm
Ashland Paul Blazer, Ky vs South Point 8pm

Fort Frye vs Portsmouth 2pm
Boys; games:
Belpre vs South Webster 12:30pm
Federal Hocking vs Valley 3:30pm
Harvest Prep vs Wheelersburg 5pm

When looking at the games in the Battle in the 740 both boys and girl’s teams feature All-League, All District and All State players. As far as teams goes, the event has numerous league Champions, District Semi & Final teams and winners along with Regional teams and Regional Winners and Final four teams from Ohio, Kentucky & West Virginia in the 2022-23 season. Numerous coaches with Regional appearances and Championships, Final Four appearances and State Championships, 200 and 300 career wins and Coach of the Year awards will roam the sidelines in these games.
Admission is $10 per day pre game both days for all, $12 student and $15 Adults cost on game day. Prices are pre day and cover all games per day

Information is regards to the Bloom Carroll Bulldogs who will play Warren Local at 11am on December 9, 2023 in the Battle in the 740 at Shawnee State University .
The Bloom Carroll Bulldogs are excited to pursue both growth and success in their upcoming season. Last season, the Bulldogs finished 14-10 (10-4 MSL), 2nd in the MSL Buckeye division, and had a district semi-finals appearance. Coach Ireland is looking forward to his fifth season with the program. This season, the team is deep and loaded with talent and athleticism and is ready for a competitive basketball season. The Bulldogs will be returning three seniors (all three being starters): Emily Bratton (Mid State League Player of the Year, DII Central District POY, DII District 11 POY, Eagle Gazette POY, and DII All-Ohio First Team), Marissa Wilkinson (MSL First Team, DII Central District Second Team, DII District 11 Second Team, Eagle Gazette Third Team, and DII All-Ohio Honorable Mention honors), and Natalie Lang. A few key returners that are expected to have a major impact and play significant roles this season includes: Juniors Tessa Brooks (MSL Honorable Mention, and DII District 11 Honorable Mention), Charlie Conrad, Emma Sorrell, Adyson Luke, and sophomore Whitney Passen. This team is also filled with young talent in the sophomore and freshman classes who will be looking to develop and compete throughout the season. The Bulldogs have another competitive schedule this season and are excited to compete at the Battle in the 740 this season at Shawnee State University. An exciting team to watch at Shawnee State on December 9, 2023 lead by All State Guard Emily Bratton!
