Waterford on a big run up 39-29 early in the 4th. NC let a girl foul out in the 3rd quarter...

It ended in a running clock. ND doesn't see enough hard competition they need to get out of the SOC 1.

SOC has 3 Divisions. Notre Dame SHOULD be in the Middle Division as a competitive standpoint in all sports. South Gallia should be in the smaller Division. However there is ONE particular AD in the smaller division that doesn't want to travel to South Gallia so it's a NO GO. SOC is a mess when it comes to leadership in the conference. It needs a Bi partisan person that will stand up to schools put teams where they should be at a competitive arena.
Re: Girls Southeast District D4
There is absolutely nothing scheduling wise that would have made Notre Dame ready for this game. Sometimes teams are just better than you. Should Portsmouth West move out of the SOC to the OVC since they lost by 30 to Portsmouth in their Regional game? They could’ve scheduled every D1 school in Ohio and they still would’ve gotten beat by a ton. Again, sometimes teams are just better.

They dont see enough competition in conference but they do schedule up out of conference and have great success. Hiland just on a different level this year, ND played them close last year but Hiland just a level up this year. ND has played several D1, D2, and high level D3 and D4 schools out of conference over the last decade winning many of them.Lovehoops1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 10:07 pmIt ended in a running clock. Re: Girls Southeast District D4
Hiland is a different animal with the players and program they have. A tougher schedule wouldn't have changed that outcome.Lovehoops1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 10:07 pmIt ended in a running clock. ND doesn't see enough hard competition they need to get out of the SOC 1.
Re: Girls Southeast District D4
What AD would that be? Many of the SOC small schools play South Gallia in non conference anyway or travel there for football.baseball16 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 7:19 amLovehoops1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 10:07 pmIt ended in a running clock. I'm talking about over the past 7 or 8 years. Yes they schedule a few tough games each year but nothing gets you ready for tournament like night in night out tough games . They just simply have to many cupcakes in their league schedule period. It's over now though ND girls basketball is going to take a step back and are in the correct league going forward.

Let's just say it's a non football school. Blue and Yellow are the colors and I think their mascot is a Panther.

Waterford was down what seemed like the whole game and kept battling to get it to OT and found a way to win at the end. Why not bring home another 'ship?
