Fort Frye's sophomores do a lot of things well. I thought They need some more varsity-level ball handlers.
You thought this game was physical? I thought it was pretty normal for this level.

What a historical season for the Lady cadets. Iβm not sure of many teams could say that they made it that deep with 8 players. Starting five definitely played their hearts out, but I think their worst enemy was not having a bench that could give those girls a break. A deep run into the tournament you need to be able to rest your players periodically throughout the game. The lone Senior put a lot of weight on her shoulders last night to get that game back to within reach. Their outside shooting was pretty good considering rootstown had more height on their side, but that perimeter game for Frye plays so well kept them in this one. Only losing one senior and gaining a very well skilled freshman class next year will definitely play a role in another run for them. Congratulations to the Lady cadets on a phenomenal season.

I agree it was physical game. Both teams in a pressure man to man defense all night. Fort Frye just had too many turnovers. Both shot the ball well all night. Fort did have a stretch in in the 4th where they just couldnβt get some shots to fall. Fort had a great season. Will 4 starters back and a good group of 8th graders that will be freshman next year they should be ready for another run. Hopefully by tourney time they can have those freshman up to varsity speed.
